This is a classic movie theatre. You can order pizza, beer, snow cones, etc. to eat at the actual tables in the theatre while watching the movie. It is old and in historic downtown Franklin. The only negative is that it has two screens, so only two titles play at any given time. It is worth picking one of the two options and calling it Friday night entertainment. You can't beat a beer during the movie!

This is a great place to take the kids for some fun. It is kindof a 'knock off' of ChuckeCheese, but it is a lot less expensive. It is never really crowded for lunch during the week.. infact, you can usually have the place to yourself. Dinner gets a little more crowded, but it is never too bad. They do birthday parties as well. The games use quarters rather than tokens, so it is easier than other places. They have the same tickets for prize system as well. Nice local fun to try.

This is one of my favorite places to order dinner. They have the world's best cheese bread (which is actually just cheese pizza without the sauce, but man is it delicious!). The prices are great and the preparation time is usually super fast. If you want delivery, they do that as well- and it doesn't ever take very long to get the pizza at your doorstep. Call them this Friday night!

This place beats driving to Bellevue if you are in Kingston Springs, but it isn't anything comparable to any other tanning place I have been to. The packages used to be really economical, but they are more expensive these days. They only have basic tanning beds (and just a few of them at that), but they do have a hair dresser and a massage therapist that come a few times a week to work. It's def. a "small town" salon, but it is nice to have close by.

This is by far the best donut shop in the Nashville area. It can be pretty crowded in the mornings and on weekends, but it is well worth the wait! The prices are average- but the donuts are amazingly delicious! The staff consists of a bunch of really helpful people as well. It is a great place to grab the paper, some coffee, and enjoy a donut (or two!)!

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center (known as TPAC) offers a lot of neat performances. They do childrens shows on occasion, operas, plays, etc. I remember taking countless field trips to TPAC as a child in school, and most of the time it was a lot of fun (there was always the borring play that happened every once in awhile). It's a nice place to go out on a weekend evening for a play after a nice dinner out. A lot of employers (I know mine does) allow you to purchase tickets to the show at a discount. They will mail gift certificates for you to someone if you call and ask them to and pay by credit card over the phone.

The Harpeth Valley Soccer Association is a very professional, well run organization that allows children in Bellevue and its surrounding communities the chance to play on youth soccer teams. My sister has played on various teams in the association for years, and she is always eager and ready when soccer sign up time comes around again. They even have teams for children as young as three years old to start learning to play, and more importantly, to begin socializing with friends. A great recreational activity for your child, a great way to meet other families in your community, and its super close to home.

I have been to Cheekwood several times and enjoy it each time. The gardens are beautiful and they have tons to offer. They allow field trips for school aged children, daily camps in the summer with activities for kids, and they even rent out various parts of the gardens for weddings and receptions. The price for the wedding stuff is very reasonable too, considering the place and how nice it is. They also have the option of purchasing a yearly membership, which is nice. We have one and try to get over there fairly often.

The Bellemeade Plantation is a great place to go, ONCE. It is one of those "been there, done that" type of places. They do have a Halloween "trick or treat" thing in October, where the costumed people hand out candy. It's fun- but each of the people gives out the same candy and none of them even really said hello, so it isn't worth trying to get over there again this year. A lot of people use the place as a wedding reception site, and it is beautiful serving that purpose. They offer tours almost every day.

Phillips toymart is one of the best toystores I have been in. It has the classic toys that adults love to check out as well as all of the new toys that the kids love. For example, they have a huge setup of the Lionel trains that the staff will gladly turn on to allow the kids to watch it go around and around while you shop. The store also has displays of each of the dollhouses, train tables, etc. set out for the kids to play with. The biggest attraction comes at Easter time, when they have tiny bunnies in a huge enclosure for the kids to look it. Great place, def. worth going to visit!
