I've personally never shopped in this store, since we have no toddlers and kids in our household. But when my aunt brought my little cousin from, not here, she wanted to get her some new clothes and this is where I suggested.
This is sort of like a thrift boutique for little kid clothes. Some stuff are new and some are used. You can also sell your kid's clothes there, I've found out.
My aunt got a few unique pieces for my baby cousin, who's a brat anyway and would proceed to puke all over them. But it's all good, since everything was pretty cheap.

The store kind of smells like warm fish, but I guess that's from all the... um, fish, and they need to keep it at such a temperture for the tropical little critters.
they carry absolutely everything your aquarium needs. Filters, tubs, food, etc. Prices are reasonable. Staff are very knowledgable about all the fish questions, so if you have one, bring it.

I got my Industrial piercing (google it) here. I must say I'm quite satisfied. The staff were pretty cool, all with funkified hair and profusely pierced in all the places I can see, and i would guess all the ones I can't see also.
Although the shop and staff looks quite tough and intimidating, they're pretty friendly and helpful. I'm sure they sterilize everything, or else I'd have a fatty infection right now. The shop is pretty clean just by looking.
They also offer tattoos in addition to piercings. Priced are great too. Good rates. I love my Indutrial.

This is one of the 2 local fabric stores my sewing teacher in 7th grade recommended I go buy my fabric. This and JoAnn's.
Of course this small fabric store is no competition to ginormous chain JoAnn's by selection or price, but it's a lot easier to find non-mass-produced fabric , and heck of a lot easier to actually find someone to help you. As opposed to at JoAnn's where you need to spend 10 minutes in line just to cut your darn fabric.
The staff are pretty helpful and friendly, that's what I like about small stores.

This shop pretty much sells those useless antique and collectables that you'd buy on a whim, leave on a shelf in your house and never look at again. But I guess if you're into that sort of stuff, this is the place to be.
Some of the stuff they sell are vintage lunchboxes, vintage lamps, other decorations, rugs, and whatnots. I didn't really get a good look since my PE teacher works there sometimes on the weekend and scared the crap out of me when I first saw her here.
They also buy your stuff from you (consignment, duh) They sell it for a period of time, and if it's not bought after awhile, they donate it, or so I hear.

This is a small cherry stand/store by the street. Sticks out like a sore thumb between Pasta Pomodoro and PF Chang's, but in a good way.
Everything about this little cherry stand is so cute. The hand painted signs, the line of cherries displayed on the stand, the jolly storekeeper.
Reminds me of those little fruit stands you have to drive like 300 miles on a country rode to get to, but right in the heart of the city.
Oh yeah, and the cherries are good too, but it really depends on what season it is.

Listen up you music Junkies. Amoeba is possibly the largest music store I have ever been to. In my entire measly human life.
It's seriously got every CD you can possibly want. And an entire wall of used CDs, do you can buy them for really cheap.
If there's a hard to find record out there, I bet you can find it here. I went though a Japanese Rock phase, and this is where I got my fix. Usually through the used CD wall. a CD for $5 is better than ordering it online for $40. 500X better.

Tarragon is basically this American Bistro place, with pretty descent to good food.
Anyway, my bad experience was when the management really sucked. My friend's dad had this coupon that said "$20 off, an order rack of lamb". So he thought that it meant $20 off and a free rack of lamb.
But anyway, the waiter confused him that way. Actually it meant $20 off your meal, but lamb is recommended (per it is the most expensive thing on the menu...)
So at the end of the meal he paid for the lamb, but he wanted to tell the manager that the coupon was confusing. The manager basically said "You're the first person to get confused, it states as clear as day." Talking down to him like he was the stupidest person ever.
Yeah. Not going back there.

Metropark is a new kind of boutique/apparel retailer that conbines fashion, music, and art.
Targeted at the wealthy teens to hip 20-something's, Metropark offer an array of contemporary designers. Like Yanuk denim, Seven for all Menkind, Earnest Sewn, Chip and Pepper, and so on. These brands are mostly high-end and fairly expensive.
The store is furnished in a very urban style, and so are the clerks. There's a live DJ turntable and many plasma screen TVs at the entrence. And a small TV screen in each of the fitting rooms, with no apparent purpose but to look cool.
Metropark carries Indies/Urban CDs, and fancy schmancy random crap like VOSS water.

I'm obsessed with freakin' Diesel. Sure I only have a pair of jeans from there but I love browsing around. They really have one of the most unique looks on the market today.
My friend loves Diesel as well. She has 2 pairs of shoes, a bag, and a few tee's.
The clerks there all have a very "Diesel" look. Fitted jeans, funky hair color, etc. Pretty friendly and must be the least intimidating clerks out of all Santana Row boutiques.
Asides from clothes, shoes, and bags, Diesel also makes great sunglasses, watches, jewelry, and fragrance.
The store is furnished i vintage mod furnitures and always has some underground music magazines lying around.
