A Must-See in Chicago 7/31/2005

The performers here put an a really unique show. You know this is a special place from the moment you're let in. The cost of admission is $7 plus the roll of a die. You're let into their little apartment to sit in a little waiting room while they prepare not knowing what to expect. They collect your tokens and have you roll your die. Make sure you get here early as the place can sell out pretty fast. They perform a variety of "plays" but their staple is "Too Much Light Makes a Baby Go Blind" - which in reality, is a collection of 30 two-minute fast paced sketches, plays, and monologues all democratically determined by shouts from the crowd. Most skits will make you laugh out loud but a few are serious and will make you think. This is a very unique theatre experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. The best part about this place is that the sketches are always changed as is the order of the sketches. Each performance determines how many new skits the performers have to come up with their upcoming show so there will always be several "world-premieres." Another great bonus is that if their show sells out for the night - they will order pizza for the house to enjoy! Great times will be had! more
