The performers here put an a really unique show. You know this is a special place from the moment you're let in. The cost of admission is $7 plus the roll of a die. You're let into their little apartment to sit in a little waiting room while they prepare not knowing what to expect. They collect your tokens and have you roll your die. Make sure you get here early as the place can sell out pretty fast. They perform a variety of "plays" but their staple is "Too Much Light Makes a Baby Go Blind" - which in reality, is a collection of 30 two-minute fast paced sketches, plays, and monologues all democratically determined by shouts from the crowd. Most skits will make you laugh out loud but a few are serious and will make you think. This is a very unique theatre experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. The best part about this place is that the sketches are always changed as is the order of the sketches. Each performance determines how many new skits the performers have to come up with their upcoming show so there will always be several "world-premieres." Another great bonus is that if their show sells out for the night - they will order pizza for the house to enjoy! Great times will be had!

This place is pretty interesting for the casual browser. They have cute stuff for communions but I would not come here for any other type of special occasion attire. This place is better for accessories. They have adorable trinkets for children's special occasions and they had a very fun selection of garters during prom season. This is a very random store and you're sure to find something you like. The owners speak English but they actually prefer Polish. They are very sweet and eager to help, and love to show off their Polish pride.

This place promises to pamper you like a princess. They definitely try very hard, but personally their immediate selection didn't appeal to my tastes. If the first thing you think of when you imagine prom is large poofy, princess dresses - then you've come to the right place. Regardless, it might be worth the trip if you just want to experience some culture shock. Their new store is 10,000 sq. ft. and somehow the majority of its dresses seem to be of the large and frilly variety. You can grab as many as you want and the staff will prepare a waiting room for you. They treat you pretty well but my personal experience made me feel a little insulted as they like to adjust your cleavage for you if they seem to believe you're lacking in the area.... Regardless, it's okay for the typical prom princess looking to be fitted and decked out. They will give you a pair of shoes to model in, gloves in a coordinating color, and will add some sort of hair accessory to your ensemble. They will keep rotating your dresses for as long as you please, and they store many more varieties (which I'd imagine are the sleeker, better ones) in their warehouse in the back. You get a free t-shirt and garter with every purchase, and that purchase will run you a hefty tab. It's a good place to go for the experience (just once), but it wasn't really suited to my personal tastes.

This store seems very small upon entry but you'll soon realize what it has to offer. Its selection is extensive. Walking through this store is very difficult as you will find the few walkways it has obstructed with layers of tulle, silk, and any other material you can imagine layering its dresses. This was by far one of the most fun selections I've seen during my prom dress quest. Although none of the dresses here really worked out for me, it was really fun coming to try them out - and the ladies were very helpful. They had a really unique selection of the more traditional poofy prom dress. Normally those dresses are not something I enjoy but the one's Kasia's had were not your regular "Princess" pouf. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a special occasion dress. This place is not afraid to stock up on color.

This place doesn't have a wide variety of dresses and its "fashions" aren't anything special. The only reason I stopped into this shop was while I was on my prom dress quest. This shop was on the list of places I could go to and they were advertising their prom section, so I figured why not? When I walked in their staff didn't approach me so I was left to find my own way around. I finally found the prom rack and was really disappointed. They have no variety and they're rack was only several feet long. This was still pretty early in the season and they shouldn't have been even advertising for this special occasion because they had nothing to offer. I would recommend another place over this. Its bridal fashions, from what I managed to see, were not very appealing either.

This is a family owned special occasion and dress shop. They claim they sell popular designer gowns and are particularly popular during prom season for obvious reasons. I saw a dress that I thought was really cute hanging out in front so I asked to try it on and was assisted immediately. The staff is very social and likes to interact with its customers to make sure they are very happy. Their selection is rather limited but you can get lucky if you look often enough. The only think that I don't like about this place is that I suspect them of false advertising. They had a dress that looked similar to the style of a popular and expensive Jovani dress and they claimed that it was a Jovani. If you looked at the neck-tag it an Annabella tag was sewn on. They apparently design their own gowns and sell them unknowingly as knock-offs for about the same price which I think is not very fair. They do do a great job however, so if money is not an issue this is a cute little place to try out.

After a long and exhausting prom dress search I found out about this shop through a friend and decided to give it a try because I dejectedly figured I had nothing left to lose. It was very hard to miss from the outside - the building seems to blend into the surroundings so make sure you keep an eye out for it. It's on the southbound side of the street. The display is usually very colorful and the moment you walk in you'll know why people rave about it. It's absolutely adorable and has a great assortment of dresses. If you're sick of seeing all the typical poofy dresses you will be happy you come here because it is so much more than that. Every dress you've ever imagined by all the designers in every color you could imagine can be found here. The displays are great and neat and the staff is very friendly and informative. They can also special order dresses for you if they do not have them in stock. This place is also really great because they will tailor your dress for you as well and they do a great job and are very attentive to what you want done. I fell in love with a dress that was a size 18. They worked with it to turn it into my size six and eliminating its mermaid cut which I really wanted to avoid to create my own specially designed prom dress. The dresses here run on the pricier end but their alterations are not at all expensive. They do a fantastic job and also sell shoes and accesories. I would highly recommend this little family-owned boutique to anyone!

This place is great to drop in for a creative piece of cake, a cute little tart, or a marzipan creation. They put a lot of detail into their pastries and they are wonderful. They have a huge variety and do a great job with events. Coming here has been a tradition in my family. They have a couple tables to seat customers but the dining-in aspect of this little bakery/cafe is not its focal point.

This place is really great and they offer some really sweet deserts. They have a great assortment of cakes and pastries and they have received numerous awards in the area. For a non-specializing bakery they do a really great job. There's a table or two that you can sit at but nothing special. It's really only meant to be an order, pick-up, and go shop. My favorite thing about them is the paczki they over around Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) which Poles celebrate on the Thursday before Ash Wednesday. They're great and the absolute best ones are the ones with rose filling - yes rose like the flower. They're fabulous!

This place's Polish owners know a thing or two about bread. They bake it fresh and slice it while its still warm in front of you in their own slicing machines. I have memories of coming to this place as a little kid and getting sweet pastries. My favorite was the French twisted apple pastry. It was crunchy and flaky and everything you would have wanted. It was perfect. This place also has some Polish products on its shelves. It is not a typical bakery in the sense that you can sit down and dine. You merely order and go. It's more like a little mart and bakery than anything else.
