Dr. Nealis and his staff are top notch! Hygenists are considerate (as considerate as one can be when poking sharp objects in a person's mouth), the atmosphere is calm, and they are pleasant in dealing with insurance issues.
For fillings, Dr. Nealis offers a massaging mat on the chair, thickearphones with a choice of music, and serious pain management! Oh, and groovy sunglasses to keep the light and dust out of your eyes!
I don't dread going to the dentist half as much with him!

While I have a primary doctor in this practice, over the years I've seen a number of the doctors. They are all friendly and I find that they are excellent listeners. There is always time at the beginning of the appointment to talk about any questions or things I'd like to bring up, then the exam starts.
The office staff is kind and considerate as well. This group affiliated with a number of good, large hospitals which is also comforting, should the need arise! One office in Northbrook, one in Skokie.

I didn't buy my car from Saturn of Glenview, but I've been taking it there for service for years (I do have a Saturn). The service staff has always been friendly and helpful, and has been honest (according to my mechanic grandfather) about what I need done right away versus what I could have done or could do without for the time being. I've had several major repairs done (new brakes, new head gasket), and each time they finished before the appointed time and always called me along the way with updates.
I definitely recommend this place for any Saturn owners who need routine maintenance or major repairs.

Take One did the video for our wedding, and we were extremely impressed. They were professional, courteous, and inobtrusive the whole night. We couldn't believe how great the edited video looked! They showed up to start shooting during the pictures and stayed until after we were gone. They used one stationary camera in the rear of the church and one on a single-leg stand at the front of the church.
Our package (which was basic) included four copies of the DVD, which saved us from having to get copies made for the parents.
Overall, we were more impressed than we had hoped to be by their service and product.

He arrived over an hour before the contracted start time and went right to work. Our entire wedding party loved working with him and commented on how friendly he was. He had learned everyone's name before he got there, and he worked well with the videographer and DJ as well.
We felt we got an unbelieveable value for what we received.

We used Lakeshore Funding for our original mortgage nearly two years ago. It was a great rate then, but we refinanced a few weeks ago to fix the rate on the 2nd mortgage. Once again, our agent came through and got us a fabulous rate. He even came with us to the closing for the refinance in case we had any questions. Picked up most costs on the refi.
They send out a monthly newsletter with helpful homeowner tips that has been surprisingly informative as well.
We found them through our realtor, and several friends have subsequently gone through them as well.

Manicurists are all great - filing and shaping until nails are just right, cuticle trimming, and polish lasts nearly a week. Pedicure chairs are big, comfy, and have heat/vibration settings.
But the facials are what I love! Angie and Maggie are top notch, everything from basic facials to microdermabraision to permanent make-up. These girls are great!
They are currently expanding into the shop next door, at which point they will be adding massage as well. Prices are right at or just below Chicago average for services.

Pat's just moved to their new location at the corner of Lincoln and Seminary. They have a dining room and outdoor seating available. Nice atmosphere.

In terms of manicures/pedicures, Paint offers a good service for a very good price. For about what I would pay at many "chop shops" where the staff doesn't speak English and hardly sanitizes their istruments, at Paint I've gotten a number of excellent manicures (including cuticle trimming) that have lasted 7 days without chipping.
Pedicures are a bit bare-bones (sit in a chair and stick your feet in one of those plug-in foot baths you can buy at the drugstore), but did the job.
Can't speak to their other services (facials, waxing, etc.), but when I need a decently priced manicure without fearing for my health, Paint is the place to go.
They take walk-in or appointments.
