My husband is a beef jerky fanatic and he LOVES the beef jerky from Everetts. They also have groceries, but not as much as a regular grocery store. They can cover the basics, though.

The campus may seem too big at first, but eventually it gets smaller as you learn to navigate your way around. With buses to shuttle the masses to class during the winter, as well as an underground walkway, the bitter cold will be no excuse to skip class due to frost bite.

Flanders has a decent selection of goods, but great service and repair. If you are lookign for a racing bike, this would be a great shop to go for. A every day bike, they dont' have as much of a selection but you would still do OK. I've gone to Flanders a lot of times and have always been treated very nicely with all my questions asked. They carry a lot of helmets, too.

If you like good fresh produce for cheap, then go to Minneapolis' farmer's market! You can get so many types of fruit and veggies. Most of the fruit is grown out of state, but a lot of the veggies are grown here. They also have different booths of artwork, goods, food, soap, and more. You could go for lunch and look around at thigns for a couple hours. Great fun!

I like to go to Urbanimal because they are a small company that is friendly. Every Tuesday they have a buy one bucket get the other free on cat litter you fill yourself. They have cute animals living there. Big selection of food and litter. Lots of toys, too. The staff is very knowledgeable. I've always had good experiences there.

I go to Nutrition City over GNC because I like the location and that it is locally owned. they also carry organic cosmetics, which most places like GNC does not. The staff is helpful. Once when I had a question, they didn't know but called the manager right then and there for me. But make sure to check the expiration dates, once I bought some pills that were almost a year past their expiration date.

But after you've downed a few taps that you can't find anywhere else, you'll just about pay anything for some reasonable food. Adjacent to the cafe is a theater with music, drama skits, etc every night of the week. Cover charges are usually less than $5. This cafe is the hidden treasure that everyone should discover. It's perfect for a club meeting, working brunch, or a quiet night out from the frat boys hollering to their friends on cell phones about how drunk they are.
