My son has behaviors which I think put him on the autism spectrum and I had heard putting him on a Gluten Free/Casein Free diet would help. Eating out with such a restricted diet is tough, but Outback has a dedicated Gluten Free menu, so it's worth the trip. They make an awesome flourless brownie. And I love their salt rolled baked potatoes - I hadn't been to Outback for about 8 years, but I still remembered those! This location is busy, but you can also seat yourself near the bar, so we were quoted 45 minutes and my eagle eyes got us seated in 10!

I love Weight Watchers! They teach you how to eat real food from day one and moderate your portions. They stress behavior modification (solving real-life problems without food) and healthy eating. After 26 years of being overweight, I lost 35 pounds but I have kept if off for 9 years! I am actually the person who takes food home from a restaurant instead of leaving a clean plate. What I like best is the group support and getting 30 minutes a week to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I get great food recommendations and encouragement and tips to deal with the challenges I still face. And I get one on one support from the leader when I need it. I cannot recommend WW enough!!!

We got married here 9 years ago and I went on the website tonight and it is just as beautiful as it was then, if not more. We got married in front of the carriage house with beautiful flowers on the lawn - tulips. The rooms are kind of pricey, at least they were for a young couple, but they are luxurious (big bathrooms, comfy bathrobes, big comfy beds with soft linens) and they are right by the water. There is great golfing and tennis and a private beach. They also have privately owned villas that are available for rent through third party agencies. Okay, I want to go back! Now!

We had our wedding on Cape Cod and I think I found them in an ad in Cape Cod Bride Magazine. They do summer concerts in Boston and surrounding areas, so you are able to see them play without crashing someone's wedding. We wanted them primarily for big band/swing, but they also were able to do any music (okay, no rap, but hey, that's not music LOL) - we had Marc Cohn's True Companion as our first dance and they knew it. Andy Maness is the business contact and the lead vocals and then he can put together a band of up to 10 together. He was great to work with and the only one of our wedding professionals not to mangle my husband's name. It has been 9 years (gulp) since our wedding and our friends and family still talk about how great the music was at our wedding!

This is a place that only takes Cash and ATM cards, and there is a 50 cent fee for using an ATM. It is usually about 5 cents cheaper than the place across the street (a Valero) and it seems that it is a bit slower to raise the prices than other stations. It has the requisite mini-mart where you can buy the paper or get quick food that isn't very good for you.

We had sold our house and closing on our new house was a week later, so we needed short term storage, so we called Public Storage - they will pick up and move your belongings into a truck (carrying your heavy furniture from your bedroom to the truck, etc.) and then when we moved in to our new place, we just called them and they delivered it (and again, put our heavy stuff where we wanted it to go). It turned out, even with the week's rental, to be cheaper than most moving services. Nothing broken or damaged. We were very pleased. I'd definitely use them again.

I went here for a Mothers Day tea with a diverse group of friends, most of whom are from abroad or are married to foreigners. I think I was the sole person who loathes tea, but was willing to put that aside for the company. I didn't have to - I got hot chocolate served in a teapot alongside all the other ladies with their English teas and oolongs and whatever else. A lot of us had the tea plate to eat and some of my friends had things I can't remember (I think it was Bangers and Mash with a different, equally interesting name). No one seemed to have a bad meal. I liked their cheese and chutney sandwiches. They do private functions like bridal showers, in fact, they were clearing us out for one. I believe they sell the teapots and other items. I look forward to taking my daughter one day for tea (though I'll be having hot chocolate).

Oh, yeah and it sells sporting goods too! We take the kids here every time we visit the in laws in Albert Lea. My favorite part is sending a postcard to my staunch democrat parents and brother from the people's republic of Berkeley, CA from the gun room! Can't beat the free entertainment! The selection of sporting goods equipment looks impressive, I'm just not sporting goods material.

My husband grew up in Albert Lea and seemed to think "I grew up in the town next to Hormel" was a pick up line. Well, not quite, but he did take me to the Spam Museum years ago when it was a dinky little thing in the mall. Last year, my husband and I took the kids to SPAMTOWN USA and my kids loved it! There is lots to do. The kids had fun in the interactive "can your own spam" exhibit (thankfully a plush spam). I enjoyed learning about the history. Loved the homage to Monty Python's SPAM skit! Free samples of Spam and the SPAM store has something for everyone. We came home with souvenirs for everyone - you can even make souvenir pennys like the type they have at the zoo.

My favorite part of Diddams is the revolving bins of little plastic party favors. They vary in price from 10 cents to $1, but there's always something! These little trinkets are also good for little rewards for your kids. They have a big Mrs. Grossman's sticker selection. There is also a toy section where you can get anything from quality books to Thomas the Tank Engine toys. But the bread and butter is party goods - good selection of kids stuff - invitations, paper goods, decorations, but also good selection of party themes for adults and a nice wedding section. It's my first stop when I'm having a party.
