Shoe Phoria is a great place to find brand name shoes at discount prices. Their clearance shoes are on racks are organized by size around the perimeter of the store. The center racks are the more expensive brands (like Born) and have all the available sizes together. I don’t always find the perfect shoe but sometimes it’s a great steal!

The rooms at the Cabrillo Inn At The Beach are slightly old, typical hotel/motel rooms. There is a pool but the overall size of the inn is quite small. Continental breakfast is a few packaged muffins and coffee. The view of the beach from the top floor is nice. Not too convenient to downtown unless you catch the electric shuttle which runs by.

Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the best aquariums I’ve been to. It’s not the largest in the country, but it ranks up there because of quality. They have touch tanks where you can feel sting rays as they swim by. The sea otter show is great. Overall, a wonderful experience for both kids and adults.

The McNay art museum has a nice permanent collection of art and features rotating exhibits often. It is located on the edge of Alamo Heights and is completely separated from the neighborhood by high walls. The interior gardens seem more like a park and many people choose to have their wedding photos taken there.
