After Words is the best bookstore in Ann Arbor, in my opinion. Don’t go there if you want to buy textbooks, because that’s not what they do. What they DO have is the best selection of rare books you won’t find elsewhere. If you love good books and old books, it’s definitely worth checking it out.

I used to go here once a month, almost to the day, every year I was at U of M to get a haircut. If you’re looking for a good stylist who won’t charge you and arm and a leg, but also don’t want to resort to Fantastic Sam’s, this place is perfect. Located right in the heart of campus, they attract a lot of students. The owner, whose name I won’t say because I don’t think you’re allowed to, is SO nice. Ask for her to get a haircut, she’s the best there.

The greens are manicured day in and day out by a knowledgeable greens keeper (it’s truly a science that they take very seriously in Michigan). I love it!
