Main Street T Shirts has a great selection, but the area is difficult, especially if you're in a car and not on foot. Their t-shirts are cheap, sort of retro-styled, and not especially nice or comfortable. So what's the good part? Oh. I'm not exactly sure. This store is in a good area, being Main Street and all, with great restaurants, but the store itself, not too hot. I vote for skip it.

It’s the mall located closest to campus, but it’s still about a 10 minute drive away, with no traffic. Students and families alike frequent this mall for their daily whiff of Abercombie cologne and J. Crew pleated slacks. Mmm…pleated slacks. So fashionable. They have a lot of different stores and parking usually is never a problem.

These guys know what college students want: incredibly large burritos at 3AM. They had an idea, and they banked on it! Two recent grads from U-M started this place up two years ago, and are probably now rolling in loot. Awesome burritos, REALLY cheap prices, their cheese is great, and they’re just plain awesome. Don’t plan to stay there because I think they have, like, one table. That seats 2. take out!

When Stairway to Heaven was all like “We’re gonna sell little tiny pipes,” 42degrees came in and said “We’re going to sell really expensive, bigger pipes, and the kids’ll love it!” They were right, and they do. My roommate when I live din Ann Arbor purchased a “water pipe” for $435. That’s rent to most people. 42Degrees has a wide selection.

It’s a “water pipe” and it’s a work of art. Right. Good selection, though.

Accu-Copy is one of the three or four places in Ann Arbor on campus where you have to go to get coursepacks. Because they know they have a monopoly on the micro-industry there, they tend to have high prices. They give you the coursepack in the form of a stack of papers, hole-punched but not bound, loosely piled in a plastic bag. And they charge you $30. But what can you do? You have to get that CP and your professor said it’s the only place that has it!

This is the joint where all the kooky teens hang out and play video games. Kids Rule! Yeah! They skateboard outside and annoy you as you walk by on the way to class. However, as far as the establishment itself is concerned, they have a great comic store inside, which is very cool. Pinball Pete’s also has some rare video games, like Mad Crusher, Arcade Version. Awesome!

They have little kids behind the counter serving the pizza at like 2 AM after the bars close, which always blew my mind. They have an awesome beer selection, however the dude at the counter isn’t the friendliest.

Campus Video came onto the scene to compete with the ever-famous Liberty Street Video, and they ended up setting up shop right nearby on South U. They have a larger, more contemporary selection, but you won’t find as great deals like at Liberty Street Video. One thing that is appealing is the student discount.

The state theater, located on State street right in the middle of campus central, is interesting because the façade looks like there’s nothing inside, yet once inside, you can see that there is always something going on. They only have two theaters, I believe. But it was the first theater in the area to show Napoleon Dynamite when it first came out.
