Reconstructive Surgery for Mommy Makeover Gone Wrong - Thrilled! 2/18/2017

I had a full mommy makeover last year with another surgeon and absolutely everything went horribly wrong. I had necrosis (skin death on my abdomen - non smoker, non diabetic, 115 lbs, not sure why or how it could have happened). Although the previous surgeon offered to fix it at no charge, I was too afraid to go back. I did an extensive search for a top notch surgeon and I was recommended by another top Atlanta facial plastic surgeon and through my nurse friends and friend network who had plastic surgery, all signs pointed to Dr Deutsch. I had consults with 7 plastic surgeons total (with 3 different pathways to fix) and Dr D's approach happened to be the least risky with the best results. He was very humble and low key and a double board certified plastic surgeon. He has a reputation for beautiful tummies and breasts and a strong track record of reconstructive surgeries. I learned he is very passionate about helping breast cancer survivors. His reviews were impeccable and I noticed his patients would look very natural afterwards. . Since my results last year were so unexpectedly catastrophic, I had to find the absolute best surgeon. Someone who could reconstruct and set the right expectations. Dr Deutsch and I made a plan to augment my breasts (I had a lift last year with no implants - which was a mistake), fix my belly button and cut out half of my scar in the first surgery. I will need a second surgery in a few months to get rid of the rest. I had my surgery on a Thursday and by Sunday, I was off of all pain meds. I worked from home Friday and Monday and by Tuesday, was fully back at work. I am so ecstatic over my results, I could cry. I didn't think I could ever look normal again, and certainly never wear a 2 piece. My belly button looks SO cute and natural. Dr noticed that the ties from my previous diastasis repair had come loose and he just went in and tightened it. He was supposed to fix my nipples and areola but he saw my skin was so stretched and thin with the implants that he left it as he said my nipples would have fallen apart. I love that he didn't try and be the cowboy to knock out everything I had hoped and risk further complications. There us nothing I could do to properly thank Dr Deutsch. I didn't realize how much time and space the old surgery results took on me. It was such a huge weight and now I feel so much lighter, much happier, and more energy to do the things I love again. I am forever grateful and if you are reading this considering surgery with Dr Deutsch, you are in the absolute best hands!!! more
