Wanting to try something new I opted for extensions and did a great deal of research before deciding which brand to go with. Only finding two salons in the area that offered Great Lengths I went with Changes because a human answered the phone and scheduling seemed easy. My appointment was made with Al who does extensions there, I set up a consultation and ultimately decided to try one bundle to see how they worked out. I was required to pay for the extension up front ($113) and was then told it would be $500.00 for the installation. Yes, you read that correctly, Five Hundred Dollars to install them….but hey, that included a "hair cut"! Yay! I decided on color as well. So this "hair cut" consisted on 4 literal whacks with a dull razor and mind you, he never asked how I wanted it cut or cut any of my own natural hair. The color was inappropriately applied, he never checked on me while the color processed. At check out he told me, and I quote, "you may loose one….~maybe~ 2 but that's normal." At just over 6 weeks since the "installation" I have lost 24 "strands" which leaves me 11….which looks ridiculous at different lengths because they have slipped. I called to speak with Al to just have them removed because I just don't' care to continue doing business with him to even have them corrected and NOW he wants to tell me that "yes, it is actually possible to loose that many depending on how your hair sheds" Seriously? I am not shedding, these things are literally sliding out of my hair….luckily, not taking much of my natural hair with them. Obviously, this was operator error as I have done everything required for the upkeep diligently…as most anyone would after dropping nearly a grand to try something out. Getting an appointment to have them removed was like pulling teeth unlike getting an appointment when I wanted to give up my money. I am not even sure what to do short of paying someone else to remove them. All around bad experience. Parking is horrible, reception is par at best and I'm out of room
