First off, I have been a member, I still am a member and will always be a member. I have purchased three 'Paving Stones' in their fundraiser. But I am really disappointed at the way the entrance is being run. Our friends visited us from Chicago and we decided to go to the Domes because I had told them so much about them. The day - Dec. 27th - was bitterly cold and the crowd was heavy. We were forced to wait in line outside almost to the roadway. When we finally got to the door, I watched the door attendant - the ONLY door attendant - holding conversations with visitors about membership and its' advantages. Then I watched him lock his cash drawer, leave the booth and lock it up, come around to the waiting area, open the cooler and get a can of beer out, close the cooler, walk back around to the inside door, unlock it, come inside his area, unlock his register and sell someone that can of beer. Mind you, all this ridiculous activity was taking place while people (including babies) were lined up outside waiting to get in. When I finally got to the front of the line, all he did was glance at my membership card. News Flash to this jerk: I have a membership to make it more convenient to attend not so I can wait in line and watch him sell concessions. Our friends from Chicago said one thing only, "This will be the last time".
