Had reservations last night at 7 PM looking forward to trying the salt block dinner for my husband's birthday. When we arrived, their was no hostess in sight. Because we had never been to the restaurant, we ventured inside thinking we came in the wrong entrance. Finally we stopped an employee to ask if we were in the correct dining room. He took us back to the front and went to go hunt the hostess. She finally showed up telling us she had been getting a party ready. OKay....we thought "Only one hostess on a Saturday night?, but whatever, we were ready to get our night started. Once we were seated the experience continuted to go downhill. The app plate that was on our table was chipped. Okay...still willing to move on. The table next to us was seated right after us. Even though their table was "ready" someone still had to come over and clean it. It was at LEAST five minutes before the waiter showed up. We orded our drinks from him and ...then he went to the next table for their drink order. Apparently the table did not have any menus, so the waiter just reached over and took OURS from the table without saying a word. We were appalled!!! After our drinks came, I asked if we could have our menus back. Without saying a word he reached over to the other table and took theirs to give back to us. WHAT?!?! I said that I didn't want to take theirs...he reply was "They are using them anyway." WHAT?!!? The other guests seemed speechless!!! We had had enough!!! I requested to speak to the manager. I told him the story. He did half-heartedly apologize, but it was too late.
Bottom line..... Excellent service costs nothing. I honestly felt like I was dining at Dick's Last Resort where you pay extra to get treated badly. Needless to say ....we left without ordering.
