I ordered the new Asics Gel Kayano 17 from their online store for FREE shipping, and I got them in a few days. The fit wasn't quite right, so I returned them with the free shipping label included with my order, and got a 1/2 size up. At first, I was hesitant to order from a smaller chain of shoe stores, but decided to give them a shot, because their prices were better than Zappos. I'm glad I did! I'll shop from them again. My experience was easy: I found the shoe I wanted, and it was easy to re-order to find the right size. The funny thing is that they're local for me, but it's more convenient to shop online sometimes, so I appreciate that they offer the option!
