Based on a FOUR star rating from this site, my boyfriend & I decided to go to dinner tonight @ Good Fortune Buffet. Advertised price was $9.99 per person, BUT is NOT updated: as of 01/0711, the basic dinner price is $11.49 per person PLUS an additional charge more for King Crab (looked like snow crab) & oysters & drinks are extra. The lighting was dim- the wait staff unattentive & no one cared to ask if we enjoyed our meal- we did not. The King Crab's appearance was small & unappetizing - perhaps due to to the shrinkage from soaking too long in a lukewarm murky bath @ the buffet table. The "WHERE"S THE BEEF!?!" "Prime Rib" was primarily FAT & grizzly, overcooked & bordered between tasteless & revolting. Bacon wrapped shrimp presented, with neither the bacon nor the shrimp inside were fully cooked. Breaded shrimp was more uncooked dough than shrimp. All other dishes sampled ranged between not so good to less than impressive. We were left waiting and waiting and WAITING for our tab. We finally just walked up to the cashier to pay, as our server chased after us with the tab (Which made me wonder if they had many customers to "DINE -N-DASH!!!?) Without the King Crab OR a $3.00 tip our, tab was billed @ a total of $28.11!!! $31.11 (total including basic buffet, fountain drink & tax plus $3.00 tip) was spent for our LESS than delightful dinning & indigestion experience. My boyfriend rates this restaurant as a 2 star only because he has had worse. I rate it @ a one, only because this is the lowest rating allowed @ this site... If I could, I would give Good Fortune Buffet a MINUS FOUR STAR rating AND HIGHLY recommend choosing ANY another restaurant OR else allowing enough time in your evening to stop @ CVS for OTC meds to treat indigestion! It is a full one hour AFTER dinner & my stomach is still upset, & I am experiencing wicked indigestion. Should you decide to choose to disregard this review and throw caution to the wind and dine @ Good Fortune Buffet- I wish you good fortune... you will certainly NEED it!
