I would be cautious about Lasik here. $400 non-refundable deposit is not the norm. I never was allowed to talk to the surgeon (he apparently flies in from Las Vegas to do the surgery). I was told that I was a candidate for Lasik (thus the non-refundable part) but on seeking additional opinions was told that I was definitely NOT a candidate. This seems like a chop shop for Lasik to me - definitely worth a second or third opinion somewhere else if you are considering eye surgery.
