My husband and I just got back from Nags Head. My husband had lived in OBX and Sam & Omie's was always a must when we visited. We were SO disappointed with the food and the service. Our breakfast sausage resembled shoe leather and didn't taste any better, and the biscuits reminded me of something I'd get from a microwave. My husband said the food looked like it was institutional food. Add to this the fact that it took us 25 minutes to get our food and it was just a bad experience all around. We prefer to remember Sam and Omie's the way it used to be, and will not be back. We did go to The Dunes and the food was fabulous, I would suggest this restaurant to anyone, you won't be disappointed there.
