I have chronic sinusitis. I saw a Dr. O'brien there. First he told me he had "seen worse" when it came to my chronic sinusitis which I had a bout of monthly for over a year. Then he decided that I needed my deviated septum surgically repaired and to have my sinuses cleaned out. I was very nervous about the procedure and have other health issues. I am hypoglycemic and have asthma. I told him my concerns especially about not being able to breathe out of my nose post-surgically. He told me "you still have a mouth to breathe from." After all that I did have him schedule the surgery. I called him the day before because I was having second thoughts and wanted my surgery done in a hospital(I am middle aged) not a surgi-center. He refused. Then I thought my surgery was scheduled for 7:00 AM and I (with hyposglycemia) was bumped to 1:00 PM because they couldn't let children go that long without eating! I told the office staff I would only have the surgery done if it were kept for 7:00 AM due to my health issues. I then got a call from the Dr. telling me my surgery was cancelled and I was to find a new ENT Dr. because I was banned from there. Unbelievable. I still suffer with sinusitis but I am very leary of drs.
