Good: The kids on the team were great, other than that the coach obviously favored certain kids, the club is very expensive and then demanding of volunteer time. This year the administration recruited kids from out of the area so local kids got bumped out of the teams.. Bad: Horrible experience for vulnerable adolescent girls. They are treated like meat. All these people care about is getting your $ and winning. They didn't choose a very good player--and didn't take into account her high risk needs re: family situation, etc.. Improvements: This team should be ashamed of itself. I had heard the horror stories for years but they are the "only game in town" so you are stuck if your kid wants to play soccer.. Other: Find something else for your kids to do, you won't spend $1,000 and you might find an organization that wants to BUILD kids' esteem, not destroy it in the name of "competition".
