Extremely Bad 5/24/2009

I had a very bad experience at the Dulhan Grocery store. Yesterday evening at 7.00pm I purchased two cans of Berkeley Farm Milk. I came home directly from the store and kept the cans in freeze around 7:10 pm. The date of expiry was 30th May.. Today morning, I noticed milk in one of the cans was gone bad. I called the store and told them that the milk has gone bad and I need to return it. I went to the store around 1.00pm today. The store owner arrogantly told me that next time I will not take the milk back because it's your responsibility to check that the can is sealed and the milk looks good. Once you purchase the milk from the store, it's your responsibility to call the distributor and complain to them. I argued with him for 15 minutes. I told him that if you are selling the milk, it's your responsibility to take it back. This is your problem. You need to talk to the distributor and you need to check if your freeze is good. I had no plans to go out today. But I had to come here to return the milk. This was waste of my precious time. I just want to alert everyone about this incident. If you purchase milk from the Dulhan Grocery Store and it goes bad, you may not get credit for it. So think before you purchase the milk. The same is true about all the other items. One more thing is, even though they are selling bad items, they never return the money back. They make you purchase something from there. I am staying in the ardenwood for past eight years. I know several people who had similar bad experiences like I had. By all means we should avoid going to this store if we can. They also charge you more for almost all the items compared to the other grocery stores. more
