I was charged a facility fee which Lahey says it charges patients based on using the facility to visit a doctor. A person visits a doctor and pays the doctor's fees assuming that you are paying the fees of using the room where the doctor will see you as well. Lahey doesnt think so. They charge you outrageous fees for using the room where the doctor sees you and tack it on as a facility charge. The facility charge is over and above the doctor's fees. The doctor charges you for using his services. The Clinic charges you for using the room where the doctor sees you. In my view this is a BS fee and should not be charged to a customer/patient.
