Van Eken was HORRIBLE!

I am still on the fence with regard to this practice. Adams, my doctor, has been very patient and receptive with regard to my HRT options. My only hesitation (and it is a BIG one) is seeing Dr. Van Eken when I went there for the first time. I had the incredible misfortune of being treated by her several years ago when she practiced at Goodman-Partridge in Chandler. I required a hysterectomy and she insisted, despite my requesting the procedure be done laprascopically, that the only way to perform my procedure was traditionally by cutting me open like a fish and suffering through weeks of recovery. I walked out and never spoke to her again. Three weeks later, I had my hysterectomy performed by another physician using the laser and I was on my feet within three days!!
Whatever you do, stay clear of her. She doesn't know what she's doing and doesn't care about what's best for her patients.
