Touted as the BEST - food was lacking, greatest sauce ever though

I was happy to finally be going to the "world famous" Gates BAR B.Q. to try their food after years of loving their sauce for my own backyard cookouts.
I ordered the sampler plate. You get a lot of food. There were 7 of us, and we ordered about $100 worth of BBQ between all of us.
The ribs were tough, the sausage was oversmoked, & the ham & brisket were too salty
The hype outweighed the food's quality. Maybe it's this location to blame, but I didn't like it. Buy their sauce at the market
