A local couple started by following their enjoyment of fine foods...they opened The Cheese Cellar.
Importing cheese from around the world, they also provide an array of wines, and specialty foods such as garnishes, olive oils and chocolates.
Thursdays are Cheese and Wine tasting evenings from 4-7pm where you can enjoy the latest pairings for free. Anytime you choose to stop in, their knowledgeable staff will explain the cheese and provide you a sample as well as help you decide how to cook with it.
With a warm atmosphere, you're likely to stop in regularly to chat with the owners and treat yourself to some sheep cheese from France...I know I do!
You may think that fine cheeses are more expensive than your regular cheddar block from the grocery store. It is. But, only a little. I find that I usually consume 1/4 lb. of cheese a week. I eat less of the higher quality cheese because it fills me up faster than the cheaper stuff.
Plus, I'm an organic advocate. Organic cheese is really expensive. Most of the cheeses they provide are from Europe where practices for raising sheep or goats are different from the US. Though they may not be certified, I am confident that the cheese I buy is of the same quality.
Their open Monday - Saturday 10am-7pm

Their drink menu boasts 22 specialty drinks too!
Providing a fine dining flare, the place isn't as pretentious as most of its kind.
With a starter menu serving shoe-string fries in a truffle oil, clams, their entrées provide 7 different dishes. From a game hen dish reminiscent of a Thanksgiving meal, to Pork chops, and Angus beef Burger, one can also opt for their house tomato soup and melted cheese sandwich.
*I had the burger, and must say it was the BEST hamburger I've ever had. Moist, flavorful, not overloaded with sauces, and the bun didn't make up half the burger. It was mostly meat, greens and other garnishes.*

Providing the Seattle sustenance, they also serve a wonderful variety of teas.
A brochure explains the history of High Tea, while offering a selection of different Teas and sweets for a group of 6 or just yourself. A very fun way to visit with friends and chat without the noise of a restaurant or the rush to finish your meal.
More than just tea and coffee:
A bakery sharing the space provides fresh baked items to enjoy such as a cookie or piece of pie.
You will find a spot in the back for your younger kids to play, or board games for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Most Friday and Saturday evenings feature a local songwriter, or group.
