La Fontaine Bleu doesn't look like much from the outside, but once they put your event together in one of their rooms, it's a totally different experience. We had our wedding reception here, and couldn't have asked for a better place. They have great parking and easy access. They helped us put together a great menu to please all palates - even the kids! The service was quick, yet unobtrusive. We got all the amenities that we would have gotten at a large hotel, but for a much lower cost.
I highly recommend them!

Sherry's is a drive through bottle shop, basically. They have a huge variety of soda and beer in 12 packs and cases of cans or bottles. You drive into the building, tell them what you want, they load it in your trunk, you pay for it, and you are on your way. It's very convenient, especially for when you are in a hurry.

This is a true family business, once run by dad, now run by his daughter. The staff is absolutely great! They are super friendly, and very efficient with making appointments, checking you in, and collecting any necessary information. They are pretty good about seeing you on time, too. They also have a great selection of frames for those who wear glasses, and the opticians are excellent with pointing out frames that will flatter you. They grind their own lenses in their lab, and generally have your new glasses ready in a couple of days. They aren't as fast as some of the other big name opticians out there, but, they provide a level of service that you don't get at the other places.

Valesky's has great weekly specials that often the chain stores can't beat. They also have a great meat department. It's always fresh, and generally reasonably priced. Most of their other groceries are a little higher priced - unless on special of course. They don't do the same volume as other stores in town, but they have been around for a long, long time. They also used to provide a great service to those living in a senior apartment building. The senior citizen just gives a call, places an order, and Valesky's will fill the order and deliver it to the door. That's service you just don't find anymore!

Angel's has been around forever it seems. They are a small, family run grocery store. They also sell beer and wine, which other grocery stores in Maryland do not sell. They have basic groceries, just not the wide selection that you have at the big chain stores. They are friendly, and if you have lived in the area for any length of time, they probably know you. It's a great place to shop if you just need to pick up a couple of things. Because they don't have the big buying power, their prices tend to be a little higher. Just keep that in mind.

I have been to this office for a number of procedures. Much of the time, they were fine. However, one particular visit was the thing that turned me off of this office. The radiology tech completely violated my right to privacy by talking loudly about my condition and the reason I was there - all while standing behind a curtain that separated the dressing rooms from the waiting room (which was full of patients). I'm sure it was an oversight on her part, and perhaps a lack of complete training in patient confidentiality, however she didn't seem overly bothered by the fact that a waiting room full of patients now knew alot of information about me.
They are good at getting you in for appointments, and their hours are very good. Sometimes the staff could be a little more discreet though!

I grew up going to Conneaut Lake Park, and believe me, it was a big deal back then. They have some great rides for a first timer, or for the person who loves some nostalgia. Some of my favorite rides have been torn down, and others put in the place. It's hard for such a small park to compete with the name brand parks and the mega rollercoasters within a days drive. But, if you are looking for a great way to spend an afternoon, and want a taste of more than a carnival, then this is the place. Don't forget to ride the Blue Streak. It's a kiddie ride to most coaster enthusiasts, but, when you are a kid it can make or break your love for rollercoasters. You can use tickets for the rides, or you can buy and all day pass. It's entirely up to you. There are also games, and lots of park type food.
There is also access to a small beach on Conneaut Lake, which is a nice place to watch the boaters.

My experience with Short Hop has never been horrible. However, I find that sometimes they need a little direction and maybe a little motivation. They are young guys who do short moves across town or across the county. So, they may not have the same training and experience as long distance packers and movers. The guys work hard, no doubt about that. However, sometimes the pace is a little slow. So, if you are in a hurry, they may not be the guys to help you out. They do get the job done, it just may take a little longer than you expected.

I love going to Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits because they have such a big selection of any kind of alcohol you could want. I love browsing through the wine selection, and particularly enjoy that they sell wines from a variety of Maryland vineyards. They also have a $1 over cost sale twice a year that allows you to stock up for less money. You have to get on their mailing list for advanced notice of the sale. The guys are very helpful. They also put all their empty boxes at the front of the store for anyone to take.
