We celebrated an anniversary here, and got the entertainment package. It was smartly performed, the meal was wonderful and the wine list was good. The cost is pricy but ya know, for a once in a lifetime experience, it was worth it.
Going to propose and want to do it in style? Celebrating a special anniversary or treating him/her to a birthday they will never forget, this is one of those things that you just have to plan out and do.
A really memorable experience.

Old World Italian food cooked to perfection in one of the few Italian Restaurants to survive time and tides.
New Corners has been around a long time and is just as good today as it was when I was younger.
Veal that is butter tender, with sauces that are done to perfection. Pasta done al'dente with a hearty tomato sauce that is not too sweet and not too acidy. Fresh bread and real butter on the table. Esperesso served with a twist of lemon. And a wine list that will impress.
This is perfect for family dining, or do a romantic corner booth for the perfect start to a date. Dinner will be a bit on the high end of moderate to expensive, but the service is always special, the food is excellent and the atmosphere says Italy all over.
Want the perfect dinner? This is the place.

This is where the well dressed brides and their family shop. I've gotten a few bridesmaid dresses here over the years, and never been disappointed with the fit or quality.
These are not "off the rack" dresses, and the staff does custom fit all these designs. Yes, they are pricy, but we are not here because we are looking for a bargain. This store celebrates design and fashion, and the staff acts accordingly.
If you are looking for "the" dress, this is the place to find it. They have been providing quality service and design to the Brooklyn area for years. And if you can stand the attitude, you will be very pleased with the choices, especially your own.

This building/mall offers many stores and places to eat at the Seaport on the water.
These are big name stores, pricy but fun to wander the floors and windowshop. You can pick up earings at Clairs or Coach bags or high end gagets at The Sharper Image.
Grab some ice cream or stop for lunch on the water. This is a great place to wander and enjoy the harbor views through the windows or shopping.
Don't forget to stop by the Museum when you are done.

There is an actual tall ships moored at the seaport for you to board and explore. Kids love this, by the way. Great for photographers, amature and professional.
There are exhibits of the history and the Port of New Yorks flashy past. If you are exploring lower Manhattan, and want more than just the crowded trip to the Statue of Liberty, wander over to the other side of town and check out the Seaport.

Yup, we got a zoo. You really must visit Mr. Polar Bear and watch him swim, or visit the ark with your kids. There are birds, bears and a jungle. The kids part of the zoo is great for a Sunday Afternoon. You just have to visit the penguins on a hot summer day for instant cool off.
Got to love walking through the park as well, with the sidewalk minstrals still a part of the summer scenery. But it's the animals that you would not expect to see in an urban landscape that really tickles the visitor here.
Well worth the extra time to wander through and enjoy. Yea, there is parking but don't count on it. Weekends can get packed.

You really have to get on one of these tours and have the boat take you all around NYC. There is nothing like it. They offer a variety of tours, and depending on your pocket book or your taste in water travel, there is a tour for you.
I like the slow cruise myself, which gives you a full panorama view of the island and a feel for the size and the culture. Do bring something to drink, but there are snacks and liquids available.
Pick a warmer day, cause it can get chilly out there in the early spring.
This is another "must dos" for anyone visiting NYC. A lovely look at the City from an unusual perspective.

OK, it's a bit pricy, but this is NYC and you just have to experience TV and it's history, because it's what makes NYC Unique.
I've been on this tour a number of times over the years. The tour guides will take you through the current studios, mostly the ones that are not in use at the moment, and will walk you through the TV experience, showing you slices of history, memorabilia and you might even catch a glimpse of a famous personality wandering the halls!
The store is very pricy, always have been and unless you are really going the full tourist thing here, you may want to pass. But do ask at the desk for what shows may have tickets available for that day, or do yourself a favor and write ahead to your favorite show for tickets to tapings so you can emerse yourself in the full TV land experience.
A good look at TV studio land and another great NYC experience.

One of the "must dos" for every native New Yorker is to skate at this rink, in the evening, under "The Tree" when it snows in NYC.
This has got to be the most romantic setting in the city, and while it is costly to rent scates and might even hurt the first few times you fall, there is no experience like it for a couple in NYC.
Take your honey, whether you skate or not, down to the rink in the snow at least once. You can stand up top and watch, and snuggle warmly in the shadow of The Tree and enjoy the lights and the laughter and the music.
A "must do" item for anyone visiting NYC.

I've been to Ranger Games, concerts and even the Circus here, and always had a great time and never had any issues with anything.
Parking is not a good idea. Take public transport and save yourself the trouble. But do take advantage of all the events that are offered here.
The staff has always been helpful, something that you can not say of many places in NYC. The seating, the stage setups, the acoustics are always well worked out and never a disappointment. Even got a puck from a Rangers Game one time, and every event has been memorable for me.
Check out who's going to be at MSG and get yerself some tickets and enjoy. Well worth it.
