Misses the mark... 2/4/2011

This restaurant misses the mark. They come off as wanting to be fine dining, but the food completely misses the mark and it's more like mediocre dining. I feel the place is more pretentious than others in the area. My husband and I ate there and compared it to many other places we've eaten at for the price and we were disappointed. We're ""foodies"" and felt totally disappointed in the fish house's selection of food and finished product. We went there expecting more. I wouldn't elect to return unless someone insisted...even then I would only get the salad. We felt that Landry's had a much better selection of food with a better product. more

One Of The Best Restaurants in Town!!! 3/30/2009

The food is great! But, t be a great seafood restaurant, they really need more shrimp, oyster, scallops and crawfish dishes. The menu focuses too much on daily specials and not enugh on a variety of standards. Still, it's one of my favorite restaurants. Just hate the heavy-handed political profile! Pros: They use organic, locally-grown vegetables when possible Cons: The owners' politics are horrendous!!! Quite corrupt!!! more

Best fresh seafood....period 8/25/2008

I love this place. The people who work there are so nice and accommodating they bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and everything tastes good. We had Grouper, and stuffed ribeye! Some roasted peach cheesecake and bread pudding. Everything was just delicious. Pros: The fresh fish and cool specials. Cons: I don't live closer! more

I sent my food back twice and it was never right so I gave up. After I'd heard so many good things, this was quite a disappointing experience. Pros: Beautiful setting Cons: Horrible food more

Best seafood, best ambiance!!! 6/2/2007

Great restaurant for everything! You can bring a group, kids, have a romantic dinner, etc... Great menu, wonderful seafood, and even great sushi! There's even a new outside deck with totally different ambiance where they have live bands and a wrap around bar where you can sit and enjoy the ocean view. Pros: They do a great brunch, can bring kids, great menu, great service, and even the outdoor bar! Cons: They don't take reservations, and it's always busy, so make sure you have time to wait for a seat. more

Affordable & Delicious Seafood with Friendly Service 10/16/2006

From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt good about the Fish House (which is in the same large building as the Atlas restaurant). They had large colorful fish tanks with beautiful fish and a nice view of the bay. The outdoor seating was also nice. Our waiter Doug did an excellent job. He kept our drinks full and made some wonderful menu recommendations. The Cajun shrimp was excellent and the walnut crusted tilapia was also great. The portions were generous and we were so full we didn't have room for dessert. We will certainly return and I would recommend it to anyone who likes seafood. more
