The best thing about staying at Hotel Monaco was the location. You could walk to just about anywhere in downtown Seattle. If you do come by car, the hotel offers valet parking for $25/night. The hotel is very trendy--the high-ceiling lobby is gorgeous and they have some cute perks such as pet goldfish and complimentary evening wine service. That being said, it isn't quite as luxurious as they portray it to be. If you want luxury, go all the way, not just part-way. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, but their difference to lesser-classed hotels seems to be only in the colour palette and extra wallpaper on the walls. If this hotel is within your budget, go for it--you will get fine service and clean, modern lodgings in an ideal location. But if you are saving your dollars for a real treat, keep saving for the real deal.

Never park here period. I have a friend that parked their car here while out of town and when he picked it up it had a big dent in it!
When he showed the company they claimed no responsibility. In fact they basically stated that we couldnt prove that it wasnt there before.
This isnt just a typical parking lot.. You pay a substantial amt of money to park there and THEY park your car.

My bridsmaids and I stayed at the Watertown Hotel the night before my wedding. The room was very large, with a queen size bed and a pull out bed. The bathroom was also very large and perfect for having our hair and makeup done the next morning.
The staff were all very attentive and we really enjoyed our spa cart that was brought to our room. Prices here are reasonable, especially for the level of comfort and service.
They have a wine bar downstairs which we didn't have a chance to enjoy, but I'd love to give it a shot sometime.

I needed a ride to the airport for a business trip and found this company on Google (towncar services are the same price as a taxi, and much more comfy). I was leery about booking online (the form is old school), but it turns out that I didn't have any reason to worry.
On the day of my flight, they showed up a few minutes early in a very clean and new towncar of some American variety (Lincoln, I reckon?). The driver was courteous but didn't want to chat, which was a-ok with me. I fell asleep in the backseat and woke up when we got to the airport.
The fare was $45 from Ballard, and I tipped 15%. They take all credit cards. I would definitely use them again for airport transportation.

In these internet happy times who needs a travel agent? Well if you are going somewhere that you know nothing about and have no idea how/what/when to see it, this is the solution. We had an excellent trip to Australia planned out by Elizabeth herself. She had great suggestions, recommendations, and advice for the whole trip. She's also a total cutie--fashionable and savvy!

I like this travel agency, especially for buying airline tickets to go to Japan. They seem to be cheaper than other places, and they speak Japanese too. It's also nice that they have always been so prompt so send me any information that I asked for, when I have asked them questions or ordered tickets through them.

I tried to rent a trailer from this location 1 year ago and the manager refused because "he did not have time to attach it to my car". I guess attaching it meant hooking it up to my hitch, which took all of 1 minute. Oh, I forgot the 30 seconds it took to attach the break light cord. The trailers were lined up 10 feet from the office and a nice employee broke rank and helped me hook up the trailer in 2 minutes. The manager actually screamed at the employee in front of me - this guy was really crazy. I recommend renting from the Budget office located at Shurgard across the street. They have even better stories about the crazy manager at U-hual.

I had a horrible experience with this rental car place... After waiting more than a half hour for what I thought was a full-size sedan, they informed me that I could choose between the fantastic NEON or the amazing KIA. Wow... impressive. So, I opt for the neon because I am partial to american 4 cyl. muscle and then they tell me that i can't have that particular one because it has a bullet hole in the windshield. The management made no attempt to compensate for this pathetic service because they were too busy trying to decide where they all would meet for drinks after work.
Take my advice and never set foot in this rental store. You are better off swinging by Recycled Cycles and buying a bike for the price of this company's optional insurance (see my other review of recycled cycles).

UPDATE: This company at first didn't respond to our complaint. We contacted the Better Business Bureau. Cascade Movers ended up reimbursing us for our whole move plus added funds to pay for the furniture that was destroyed. Thus they did do the right thing in the end..............

Would highly recommend your NOT going with this company. When my Husband and I first scheduled a move with this company, we were impressed with the man who came out to look at our Apt. and give us an estimate etc. But it all went down hill from there. On the day of the move, the company sent one man whom had been working on another move all night. So needless to say he was not at his best. The other gentleman was so nice and was trying his best, but without the help he needed from the first man, things were dented, broken and now beyond repair. When they came to our place, they were shocked to find out we had a bunch of framed large paintings, which we had been promised would be "professionally" wrapped and taken care of. EVERY one of our paintings were dented, the frames all need to be repaired. Our dresser was dented on the top where upon we need to buy a new one as well as our bed side tables. We contacted Cascade as we had supposedly bought insurance for our move and told them we were fine not having some of the things replaced but at LEAST wanted to have our Dresser replaced as it was only 3 months old when our move occurred. We also requested the replacement of one of our art pieces as we were told at the framing store that it was unfixable and we would need to buy an entire new piece. We have YET to hear from Cascade about our complaint and we aren't expecting to. Go with this mover at your own risk. They look good initially but are not professional in the end. If you want your entire house dented and in ill repair, go with Cascade!!

I use flexcar and I love it.
Whenever I want a car, I just call or go online and book a car near me to use for the number of hours I would like to use it.
It is a whole lot cheaper than owning another car, as you do not pay for gas, insurance, or maintenance. The cars are all new and clean.
You just pick one up at the place where you reserved it and then leave it at the same place.
When I am out and realize that I will not get it back by the appointed time, I just call and extend the time. As long as no one else has reserved that time, you can extend it. So far, I have been able to extend the time every time.
