This store was recommended to us when we bought our condo. The prices were very reasonable, the salesman was not pushy, and their select was extensive. Our installation was promised and the installers were on time and didn’t leave a mess behind. We only bought hardwood floors from them, but we will be going back for carpet when we finish our basement.

Within the last two years, Benson Stone moved into an old warehouse which is a lot larger than their old location. Everything is much more orgainized and displayed better. They have wonderful displays on mulitple levels. Also, there is a cafe inside of the store with good coffee. It is a bit pricy but the work that I have seen in my friend's house it was well worth it.

Originally, I went into this business to purchase a jug for pocket change. The staff was courteous enough to just give it to me. In my guilt I felt obligated to make a purchase, so I bought a 5 gallon jug and filled it for my fish tank. They have a pretty neat setup, there is multiple filling stations where you fill your own bottles. Also, they do free water testing. Home Environment Center also offers a full range of softener services which I haven’t used but come as highly recommended from others.

This is Rockford's other high-class florist/gift shop. They have a good floral selection and that is about 20% of the store. The rest consists of charm bracelets, handbags, candles, gift baskets, and body lotions. This is always a good place to start when I need to buy gifts for my wife.

We needed a queen mattress for our guest room and came across this place. Aside from mattresses, they also have a large selection of moderately priced furniture for every room of the house. However, we got a queen mattress set with for only $200! It was mismatched set, which just meant that the patterns on the mattresses weren't the same. Doesn't make much of a difference once you have a bed sheet on there. This was a very good find.

I really like to visit this place, but unfortunately I don't like paying double or more what the value of an item is. Seriously, everything there is extremely expensive. Even normal plants are way more than what you can get just down the road from another plant store. On the flip side, they have a lot of stuff you can't find elsewhere easily.

A few years ago I went on the search for a dining room table. I search HIGH and LOW, hitting all the chain furniture stores around and even drove to Goods Furniture. Then I finally went to the locally owned Ingrassia. I found EXACTLY what I wanted within minutes. And to top off the experience the sales person was NOT pushy. And if you've shopped for furniture you know how annoying that can be. Recently my husband and I went to look for a couch. We did the same tour of furniture stores and then went to Ingrassia and found the couch in about 10 minutes.
The only down side is price, however I have to say furniture is just expensive, no way around it and you do get what you pay for. Our table and chairs have worn VERY well, even with kids!

In a town where all interior elements and furniture seems to be mass produced and from IKEA, this place is the exception. Great selection of well made furniture, fun accessories that you can't find anywhere else and even some pretty funky clothing. To top it off the staff is fantastic, so friendly and not the least bit snotty like you might expect to find.

This is the place to go for any type of power equipment rentals. We have rented a posthole digger and space heater in the past. Sundays are free the last time we checked so if you rent on Saturday the equipment doesn't have to be there until Monday. They also have propane service. Also, they put up a happy birthday message on their sign for our nephew at no charge. It was real nice of them.
