Every time I am in the mood for Italian food I go to Mia Francesca. The food is always fresh and service is top notch. I like how the menu changes often and while they keep their staples there. This place does get crowded during the weekends, but is worth the wait. You can make reservations in advance, but that sometimes doesn't mean anything. But, enjoy the bar and people watch.

The cinnamon rolls are good when eaten warm. This place is busy during brunch hours. Food is good. Easy to get to location. The one in Wrigleyville is right off the el. You can also take out their famous cinnamon rolls and eat it at home. Their menu food is good but I wouldn't say it is exceptional. Maybe the best Swedish food you can get around Chicago.

Chen's is well-known as a great Chinese/sushi takeout, but it's also a great place to sit down and have a meal with friends. They have a standard restaurant dining room, but they also have more intimate environs, great for informal group get-togethers. They have a great variety of sushi. Everything on the menu is very well explained, so if you're not familiar with the different varieties of sushi, or you forget what exactly is in kung pao pork, no worries!

My husband and I went here for our Anniversary and was not disappointed! The food was delicious! We went during the winter, but was able to sit out on their patio that is enclosed and heated with a fireplace. It is a quaint restaurant and we will absolutely be returning!

...she makes us take her there every time she visits Chicago, but we do not complain, because it is just wonderful! The service is always impeccable, and even when terribly crowded, they are great about getting you in and out in a short period of time. The margaritas are average, but the food is great. Definitely worth the trip.

Everyone loves the patio here, but it's really the only thing Moody's has going for it besides a parking lot. There's no way you will want to sit inside; it is dark, poorly ventilated, the state of cleanliness is questionable.
As a burger lover, I have to say that Moody's burgers are nothing special. Let me repeat: Moody's burgers are nothing special. I think people get confused, eating outside, in fresh air, their stomachs growling....everything tastes better in that situation.
In fact, Moody's didn't even make the list for top contenders in Metromix's search for the best burgers (this list also includes suburban eateries).
The service is slow, slow, slow, slow. You have to order a pitcher because the waitress will forget about you. Everyone looks the same in the dark.
The only positive: beer is decently priced and you can get a glass or pitcher.

We met some friends there last weekend. The bar is indoor/outdoor on the 7th floor of the Park Hyatt. While it's a tad pricey the atmosphere is pretty laid back with a touch of urban sophistication. If you're looking for a good spot to meet friends after work or to start the evening off, Nomi's a good bet.

If you like spicy manufacturered Chinese food (I do) this is for you. It's a PF Chang knockoff, but it was new and exciting (probably because I've burned out on PF Chang). The food is a little more exotic and pan asian than PF Chang's. We only did room service as we were staying in the Hard Rock Hotel which was in the same building. The services were doubles - so you can get food for one and that's enough for two.

More
Dan Akroyd, Jim Belushi and other celebrity friends of theirs origionally formed a partnership and started this hugely popular chain. Probably named in tribute to the Blues Brothers and their success this club rarely features Blues music (ironically). It hosts concerts of just about every genre of music; Rock,Metal,Folk,Rap,Gospel... They are also known for their Sunday Gospel brunch and the restaurant that is inside. I personally don't care for the paintings or much of the decor. I am not a huge fan of the seating arrangement (or lack thereof) for concerts. VIPs do have seats in the balcony and there are some seats at the bar, but the majority of patrons have to stand for the entire concert.
