Georgia Brown's Restaurant: Buy one entree, get one free!
Everyone in my office has used this! You sign up for the CRC email newsletter, which includes Southern cuisine restaurant Georgia Brown's (15th and K St NW, near McPherson Square), J. Paul, Paolo's, Neyla, Old Glory and Pik a Pita, and they will send you a coupon for a buy one, get one free entree, good at any of the above restaurants. I have gone twice with another friend from my office and using the coupon, we save 50% on the overall bill. When you consider the average entree is around $25 (and this is at lunchtime), this is fantastic deal. I've tried the Louisiana shrimp and the bone-in steak, and both were really good, and I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day.
Since Georgia Brown's is definitely an upscale restaurant (all suits at lunchtime), I was a little embarrased to pull out my printed out coupon, but both times the servers were very gracious. As an aside, I think it is always nice to give the server a tip that reflects the actual price of the meal, before any discount, but that is just my opinion.) Also, in case you are a little wary of getting a lot of emails, when you sign up they promise not to disclose your information to other parties, and I would say I get about an email every month or so from them.
