I have known this store for over fifteen years, and the owner is simply the friendliest guy in this type of business. If you want something and he doesn't have it, he can special order it for you, and if it's available he will get it. You can also seat down and have coffee with Roger (the owner) and even exchange ideas on comic books, philosophy, life, role playing games, music, and even food recipes. Roger is simply the friendliest guy in this type of business in all of Worcester city.

The Lucky Dog books all sorts of bands. They used to be mostly rock, but have been getting plenty of alternative and jazz in lately, which is nice. The atmosphere of course varies with the band, but it's a really nice little venue. They have a good variety of drinks, too, and prices for everything are very reasonable. Skip the big bands and support some local musicians!

First of all, this is candlepin bowling. Which means the small balls and weird straight pins that they don't clean up between throws. They also have bumper play. They have a few rentals, but you should really have your own ball. The prices aren't that bad, though, I bowled for about an hour and paid less than $10. Call ahead in case they have leagues taking up the lanes. I've been to better places, but Colonial isn't bad.

Jelly's Discs has a ton of quality music CDs for good prices. Take some old CDs to trade and pick up some new tunes! Sales people more or less know their stuff, too. While you're there, be sure to stop in next door at That's Entertainment and check out their DVDs and games. Both are two of my favorite sources of entertainment and go great together.

This theater is great for independent films. They have a little restaurant right in the lobby and you can have free popcorn with any movie. We went here for a fund raiser and we socialized and then there was a movie after wards. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Worcester had an independent theater. But unfortunately, I think the business is near closing because the whole mall is being torn down. It is sad to see an art house movie theater being torn down.

To get a good clean pierce, or a nicely done tattoo, this is the place-- none of the crap, just cheap tattoop and piercings. They have some good rings and studs for sale too. If youre scared of getting diseases, come here, cuase this place is clean and efficient. The only downside is that getting tattoos and piercings still hurts.

Jillian's Billiard Club is a great place for adults to relax and meet new people. Though mainly a pool hall, you can also order beer and fries, or other small foodstuffs. Its a great place for meeting single people, if that is what you are looking for. I recommend this place for either private birthady parties for adolescent children, or just a place to go on a friday night to unwind.

With so many video chain stores around, it's nice to see a local video store that still survives. This store has all the movies you'll find at the chains, but it has a couple of perks that you wouldn't get anywhere else...
They have free popcorn to go, and they also give you a $1 credit when you return a movie within one day. I also like that your driver's license is your "rental card" so you have one less thing to carry around in your pocket.
