The service and the food at the Kani House in Woodstock is always great. They are child-friendly as well. The kids get training chopsticks and a tattoo. The menu also becomes a mask. They used to have origami on the kids menu which kept them entertained. The portions are very generous, and you'll most likely be taking home leftovers.
The only thing I don't like is the smell outside of the building. Not sure where it's coming from, but it smells like stagnant water sometimes. At least it's OUTside.

I have been to many Japanese steak houses, and this is by far the best. They have an extensive menu -including their children's menu. The prices were about the same as all other steak houses, but the quality of the food was greater!
I also liked the warm towel they give you before your meal.
They have a GREAT location that isn't too crowded with other businesses. Some other restaurants are located in shopping malls, and parking can be difficult at times.
Children love to see the fire on the grills!!

The food at this place is decent , it is not my favorite choice of Japanese restaurant in the area. However I did not enjoy their sushi. One of the thing s that keeps me from going back to this place is the small lobby and you must wait for all party members to arrive. However all the staff members appeared to be very attentive to our needs

My husband and I had a great date night at this location. A little too loud/family oriented for a romantic date, but it was lots of fun. The tables are group seating. (Japanese steakhouse style.) The food was wonderful, and coming from an Asian family there are not many places I'll recommend the sushi, but theirs was very good. Happy Eating!
PROS: Good Food, Good Show
CONS: Can get expensive with drinks, sushi, ect.
