Kennel cough 10/25/2018

I put my Huskey in for 1 week so I could fly to my destination and when I returned my dog was coughing and throwing up when I go home, I called the vet to look into this and told them the situation. They told me to bring my Huskey in to make sure he didn’t have something in his throat, after the $156 bill and being told he had kennel cough and just paying $385 and the kennel for a week stay I was pretty upset. Called the kennel to ask and they had 2 previous cases within the month, They should pay the bill. The vet told me they have to bleach everything to get rid of the virus, Don’t think the kennel does that, thank you cascade kennel! more

Cascade kennels is wonderful! 11/12/2009

My dogs do great at Cascade. We started there for training and now also use their boarding services. The facility is very clean and they wash their bedding before I pick them up. The place smells clean, not like dirty dogs or harsh chemicals trying to cover up an unpleasant odor. This is the only facility in the area that will give you a tour unannounced. Most other places will only let you come in during certain hours or not at all. My dogs have always received excellent care while boarding there. Their training program is top notch as well! more

Mixed Quality 10/31/2006

Cascade Kennels is an interesting place. They have Becky's Puppy Manners classes - which are widely considered to be top-notch. Their facilities are great. The grooming service is great and they recognize and adjust to the pups. And they audition their groomers with great care - once dismissing a trial one because she tethered down our dog. (He's a bit of a drama queen, but non-violent and well-behaved.) However, outside of training the doggie playtime for boarded dogs is limited and everything seems a la carte. So while we go to Cascade for grooming, we instead go to Doggie Haven for boarding. more

Cascade Kennels is great! 8/26/2006

As a professional dog trainer I see few good kennels and really it's rare to see a great one and Cascade Kennels is great. The staff knows your dog. They will remember your dogs name but maybe not yours because dogs are number one in their book! Many of my clients go there, I refer to them and feel good knowing their experince will be positive. I always ask my clients how the experience was for them and the dog and in the 5 years it's been all 4 paws up! more

Cascade Kennels, Woodinville 8/26/2006

As a professional dog trainer I can tell you that a good kennel is hard to come by. But a GREAT kennel even more so. I'm happy to say that Cascade Kennels in Woodinville is beautiful. The staff very professional and most of all they LOVE dogs, cats, even the lizard that visits on occasion! My clients have given me nothing but positive feed back when they book their dog there. I'm sure if the dog could talk they would give Cascade 4 paws! more

Nice boarding facilities but bad experience 8/22/2005

I don't like putting my dogs in a kennel. When I do go on vacation, I want to board them in the best possible place; I don't mind paying a little extra for quality care. Initially, I thought Cascade Kennels was the best place around. They have the nicest facility for dogs and cats that I've found in the area. The grounds are spacious, and the kennels are well-maintained. They offer tours of the facility to make you feel confident that it's a nice place. They have an online reservation system which is very convenient. The obvious downsides of Cascade Kennels are the cost and hours. Overall, Cascade Kennels' fees are a bit more than nearby places. The bill adds up quickly when you tack-on services like play times and potty walks (necessary if you're pet won't "go" in its kennel). Also, they aren't open for pick-up on Sundays, when I typically return from trips. There was often a 15 minute or more wait when dropping off my dogs -- very inconvenient when I'm in a hurry. I didn't mind paying the higher costs, however. It was my experience with the staff that convinced me to change kennels. When picking-up and dropping-off my dogs, I met with many different employees. They ranged from very friendly to downright indifferent. One person in particular seemed a little annoyed with my dog when the dog was afraid to go into the kennel. This made me concerned; I don't want to pay a lot of money for my dogs to be treated with indifference! more
