My dog has been involved at Cascade Kennels for over 5 years and loves the place. Whenever we've been there my dog has been greeted by name and with a smile. He's taken 2 Doggie Manners courses and was a solid "D" student. Not Cascades Kennels fault however, just mine and a dog that's a little too smart for his own good. The classes were great and taught me a lot, and I only wish I'd taken all my dogs over the years for their training. In addition, they taught my daughter how to handle our dog even when they weighted close to the same weight. This is a great facility and the people seem to really care about my dog. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

I have had many positive experiences with Cascade kennels and their staff. In the past 10 years, the head trainer, Katie has been extremely helpful with my very dog agressive rescue dog. The classes and board and train made him a much better pet and easier to take on walks and be around other dogs. I have taken my current pet to two obededience classes. I always received individual attention for any issues I have with my dog. That includes prompt answers to any e-mail questions I have whether I am in a current class or not. At the beginning of each calss the trainer makes it clear that no hitting of animals is tolerated and the owner will be kicked out of class without a refund. Their training methods are kind but consistant. The training rooms are always clean without odors. In the summer, we take the training outside, which is very pleasant. \r

I have taken my dog though several training classes at Cascade Kennels. The classes are a lot of fun! My dog and I learned a lot of things that we didn't know and worked on things that we knew but clearly needed help with. Their methods are fair and my dog was always excited to go class every week. In fact, she would start whining when we turned onto the street. \r

I have taken a tour of the place where they board their dogs when I was out for classes. I have seen a lot of kennels looking for the right one for an upcoming vacation. Cascade Kennels was BY FAR the cleanest kennel I visited. My dog and I look forward to our first stay there.

First impressions of Cascade Kennels were favourable, the property, grounds and reception looked well kept, clean and smart. We were very impressed when the staff were very happy to show us round without advance warning or appointment; this is always a good sign that they have nothing to hide. Our labrador has since stayed several times; he is very happy to go into the kennels and has always returned in a healthy condition. We always book the daily walk for him to make sure he gets a little exercise and a change in environment from the indoor kennels. We like to board our dog in an establishment that is designed primarily for the well being of the dog i.e. a functional kennel and run is provided with exercise on offer, rather than a bedroom with sofas and tv for the pampered pooch! My dogs do great at Cascade. We started there for training and now also use their boarding services. The facility is very clean and they wash their bedding before I pick them up. The place smells clean, not like dirty dogs or harsh chemicals trying to cover up an unpleasant odor. This is the only facility in the area that will give you a tour unannounced. Most other places will only let you come in during certain hours or not at all. My dogs have always received excellent care while boarding there. Their training program is top notch as well!

Pros: VERY clean, you could eat off the floor, oh wait, dogs do!

My dog loves going there so really, he speaks volumes. And when I pick him up he's happy to go home but I can tell he loves it there. The staff always remember him and his name which we hope is a good thing! He is an easy keeper, we sign up for plays and a walk and he just crashes when we bring him home. \r

We recommend the groomer as well. They know how to do the doodle breed which can be a bit tricky. Well worth the drive if you love your dog.

As far as kennels go I do believe them when they say it's a state of the art kennel as a lot of thought, you can tell has gone into the design of this. I had no idea until I took the tour. Something other kennels in the area would not even offer. You can drop by anytime and take a tour, that, I believe is a good indicator of a kennel that is proud of what they have built. Like a pre-school I would never go to a place that would not allow me to see where my dog will sleep and hang out. \r

The kennel is also expeptionally clean, I was rather surprised how clean it was and felt really good about my dog in their care. \r
