I went to Womancare during two pregnancies (one in 2003 and one in 2005). In all, I am happy enough with the care I received. There are some good things: The office has a program called Merit Grams that you can fill out if someone has done a really good job. This encourages everyone who works in the office to be really friendly. Also, the ladies who do the sonograms are wonderful. They go out of their way to show you everything you want to see and to take extra pictures for you, even though they say they're only supposed to give you two. There are six doctors and several midwives. The negatives are: at least 50% of the time, you sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes or even up to an hour and a half waiting to get in to see the Dr. and when you do get in, the Doctors almost always seem like they're in a rush to get out and see the next patient. When you deliver in the hospital, the Dr. is nowhere to be seen until the baby starts coming out, but I suppose this is probably true of doctors anywhere. Also, the Doctors never remembered me from one visit to the next.
I guess I would recommend it. It's hard for me to say whether it's better or worse than other places because it's the only one I've been to. Hope this helps.

Now imagine, your dentist appointment is approaching and if you're anything like me you want to call and cancel, reschedule, something...you just hate going. After one trip to Dr. Felts, that will all change. He is gentle, kind, and believe it or not, you won't feel that novicaine!!! I didn't believe it either. His assistants are outstanding and their chairside manner is impecable.

Here is one of the only long term treatment facilities around. This is a 15-18 month program that helps people overcome their battles with addiction. There is an application process. You can call for an interview. This is a live in facility. The residents work for their keep in either maintenance, food prep or janitorial jobs. (which pays for their stay there). This is not for the person who says "I can quit when I want to".

USED to be a great place to take your animals until new owners/vets. Took my boxer in to have a protruding tumor removed, and then have the tissue sample sent off to find out if cancerous. They sent the WRONG sample! Now, I have no idea if my boxer's tumor was cancerous and possibly spreading! That was a little over 6 months ago - my boxer now has more tumors that are bleeding. Wonder what would have happened if caught sooner???!!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have found
the greatest Cosmetic Center and that is Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center in Winston Salem. My
experience there was the best. When I called to make
my appointment the receptionist was very polite and
knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions.
When I arrived at Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center I was made to feel very welcome. The staff at
Carolina Laser and Cosmetic are very professional and caring. I was very nervous about going to my appointment because I have never had any cosmetic procedures done. I must say the Doctor was very professional and knowledgeable and she answered all my questions. After speaking with the doctor I felt completely confident in her ability to address my concerns. I must say my experience at Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center was a very pleasant one and I look forward to going back again for future Cosmetic procedures.

I have to say i really like this hospital. I delivered both of my daughters there and the nurses were nothing but nice in Labor and Delivery. Although once i got to Mother And Baby, the attitudes changed a little bit. And to top it off, the volunteers who take your out in the wheelchair, make you feel like you're impeding on their day and they run over every bump they can find! But i have to say the majority of the experience has always been pleasant, and i'd highly recommend them over Baptist Hospital anyday.

What a disappointment it was to me when Dr. Temas told me that he would not perfom lasik surgery on me. I was so looking forward to the procedure and to be able to see when I woke up in the mornings. But after careful analysis, he told me that he did not recommend the procedure for me. There was another experimental procedure that would be better for my situation. He told me that if he were my brother, that he would tell me that LASIK was not a good idea for my conditions. He told me that I could go somewhere else and many other doctors would perform the procedure on me, but his high recommendation was to not do it. It was not the answer I wanted, but what I really appriciated was his honesty and integrity to be up front with me. To me, this makes a quality doctor with real compassion for doing what is right... not to just earn another dollar.

CVS is a great store to find some random bargains. If you watch the ads you can get great deals on makeup and personal care proucts. They often do buy one get one free for lots of different make up products. Also I always buy my Coke products here because with your extra care card you can sometimes get coke products 3 for 8 dollars which is a great deal. Check online as well and you can see what is on sale.

I have been seeing Dr Schwartz at WFUBMC's Downtown Health Plaza awhile now. Things were going along ok until the most recent biopsy. The biopsy was done
August 28th, I still have not heard ANYTHING on the results. I was told I would be called in a week after the biopsy was done.....I waited and waited.....well, maybe Labor Day threw things off a little,......I waited and waited some more.....NOTHING. I have called 3 times already, spoke with a nurse, and gotten some lame excuse each time as to why the doctor has not called me back yet. The nurse cannot give the results, the doctor has to. The last excuse was that week Dr Schwartz was working nights at the hospital.....ok, NOT MY PROBLEM! There are several other doctors following my case, get one of them to call me! Also, she is working nights for that week, what about all the other weeks I have been waiting?????
I plan on calling AGAIN today and venting some frustrations on them.
I expect the results are pretty much the same as the biopsy before this one but still this is totally unacceptable!
