We had Easter breakfast yeasterday at Walker Brothers with my son and his girlfriend, my wife and I.
Between us, there were omelettes (veggie and santa fe), eggs, pancakes, hash brown and sausage, plus the great hawaiian kona coffee.
The food and service was excellent. This restaurant has been a North Shore fixture for decades because they do breakfast well. It's a good place to go, although it can be crowded on the weekends.
Also, the food seems better here than in their other locations (Glenview and Park Ridge).

There's a place that makes a dutch baby pancake! I thought that anytime I wanted one I'd have to go to my mother's house. The apple pancake is also great, enough for probably 3 people. And don't forget the bacon-laden waffles... Genius! Service is average, but that's about the only average thing about this place.
Pros: unusual choices, delicious breakfast
Cons: locations

Walker Bros is certainly a good place to go for brunch - it's popular and their food never disappoints at any of their locations. However, their popularity will keep you in line for at least a half hour, if not more, most weekends, and sometimes service feels rushed. Their menu is original and you can't pass up a chance at their apple pancakes or their Dutch baby. Their omelets are also very well done. Basically, once you get seated, you can't miss!

Walker Bros. has all the staples of a breakfast/brunch: eggs (scrambles, omelets, etc), pancakes (several types), waffles, crepes and much more. I am not a big fan of pancakes but I love the apple pancake (it's HUGE!) and the potato ones are also great. Scrambles are always good. The service is friendly and efficient and the food comes out pretty quickly too. The longest wait is definitely in the line on the weekends. A lot of people come in large groups (family-friendly place) so the wait for two people isn't all that bad. If you like having breakfast for dinner though, this is the place. No wait too.

Very good food! 3 egg omelets are HUGE since they are cooked in the oven. Lincolnshire location has a banquet room and an outdoor patio. Big selection of pancakes, waffles, eggs, meat, salads, and sandwiches. Definatly try their famous Apple Pancake, German Pancake, Dutch Baby, and German Pancake. The service is amazing! A bit pricey, but you are left feeling stuffed and going home with a doggy bag!

I've been working at Walker Bros for over 3 years now. The food is the best around. A bit pricey, long lines, but well worth it all!

This is truly an exceptional place: the best food imaginable and a cozy family setting in a restaurant lined with huge stained glass windows. The waitstaff is amazing; they remember you (I always use Sweet n Low, and they always remember this!). Their food is great: freshly made corned beef hash, unlike anything you've tasted even in the finest digs; eggs to order; and the main reason to go, pancakes. You will have a hard time choosing, but their specialty is Dutch Apple Pancake, which is like having an apple pie...so bring a frozen one home instead. Highly recommended!
PROS: wonderful, wonderful food and service
CONS: no soft drinks

This is the best breakfast place around Evanston area. This place is in Wilmette. You have to expect to wait in line around 15-30 min. especially in the weekends. Their food and service are very good. I love their omelets best, but my wife loves their pancakes. Try to get there early since there is huge line in the weekends but It is definitely worth to wait in the line for the delicious breakfast.

One of the best restauraunts I have eaten in for a while now. Yes sometimes it does get busy but isn't that good? That usually means that its good food if people keep coming back. Oveaerll all everything was great and would love to come back again. Try the chicken crepe, one of thies tastiest items on the menu.
Almost forgot to mention the service is phenominal, very quick, friendly and do everything right!

Great food any time of day, but especially breakast. Try the walnut waffles. YUM! But, it gets crowded because it is so popular, and they don't take reservations.
