This store is great, especially if you or one of your kids is into pirates! If not, this place is not for you! :) For me, my little guy loves pirates, so this place is a treat for him. Located in "Uptown Whittier", you may drive right by this store. There is limited parking out front, your best bet is to find the parking in back of the stores. When you walk up, you will notice the huge front windows are decorated with a life sized pirate surrounded by a treasure chest and treasure! The kids are thrilled by this alone! Inside the store, there is nothing but pirate merchandise...decorations, clothing, toys, decor, books, flags....you name it, they have it! In the back is a life sized cannon and you can have your pirate-themed picture taken. The customer service is very friendly and helpful! They are not open on Mondays...you may want to call and find out the store hours before taking a trip here.

This is my absolute favorite place to go when I want really great Mexican food. This is a smaller place, not a tiny hole in the wall, but also not a huge restaurant. Their chips and salsa is delicious...add on the guacamole for an extra treat. Oh, and if you like margaritas, they make the best! This is a small family owned business. The guys are great! Super friendly. My family and I loved this place so much that we hired them for catering three parties this past year! First, for my sisters wedding. Then for a huge surprise party we threw for our parents, and again for a big birthday party. Guests at our parties liked them so much, that they hired them as well! (For the catering, they do a taco bar and make them fresh for you.) Anyway...my favorite thing to eat there is their carne asada tacos....yummy!

I just have to review this school, because its so great. Middle school can be such a tough time for kids. And as a parent, its a bit scary to think of what junior high was like for me and to think that my child is going to be exposed to the things I was exposed to. Only difference...this school. They have strict rules, which I love. For one, boys and girls cannot hold hands or have any contact on school campus. They have strict dress codes, rules about walking on grass and through the flowers...just a good, regimented plan. For those of you without kids, thinking that this sounds crappy...wait til you have a preteen and you will agree...the more rules, the better! However, through all of that, they still have fun and have great incentives for students who stay out of trouble and maintain their grades. My son is thriving at this school. I was really nervous having him leave elementary school, but now I feel relieved!

What a fantastic experience! I have been to many different electrologists and B&J was the best I have experienced. Everything is sterilized and only disposable needles are used. She is meticulous yet fast and the sweetest person. And the prices are extremely reasonable. She has been in business for 40 years and it shows in her extreme care for her service and clients. I finally found the best!
Pros: Clean, effective, fast and very well priced
