Living in Whittier and being a purveyor of beers seldom go hand in hand. I often have to settle for less than stellar fair. Thankfully Firehouse Grill jumps in and gives me what I want rather than the standard MGD or Corona. They've got a number of great plasma TV's, decently quick service, and LIVE band(s). It's a great all-around place to hand out on a Friday night. Problem comes when your food arrives and it's nothing more than average. I wish they'd step up the menu and bring in a little more flavor. I'm not looking for gourmet cuisine, just a great hamburger. Aside from that Firehouse Grill gets a solid recommendation from me. This Uptown Whittier bar/grill has a friendly and fun atmosphere with live music on weekends. We usually go to have a few beers or pear ciders so we have only really eaten the appetizer type foods, but those have been good. I recommend stopping by here after a hard day at work to unwind!
