Back when i was attending Whittier College, a group of us would always meet at the 6740 to unwind. The food is reasonably priced and good...try the nachos and wings. They offer a great selection of beer at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is pretty chill and the service is friendly- lots of regulars. A great hangout spot overall! Check out their website for their menu.

This is the place where timing is everything! Come in on an afternoon and enjoy the locals talking about the latest or check out the sports on the many tv's. Be ready for a huge selection of great beers on tap and a happy hour from 3 - 7 EVERY DAY! Later, after happy hour, get ready for a flood of twenty somethings arriving from the local college, or just checking out the Uptown scene. Most of all, be ready to tell your friends about the good time you had at the '40!

Back when i was attending Whittier College, a group of us would always meet at the 6740 to unwind. The food is reasonably priced and good...try the nachos and wings. They offer a great selection of beer at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is pretty chill and the service is friendly- lots of regulars. A great hangout spot overall! This is the place where timing is everything! Come in on an afternoon and enjoy the locals talking about the latest or check out the sports on the many tv's. Be ready for a huge selection of great beers on tap and a happy hour from 3 - 7 EVERY DAY! This cozy neighborhood watering hole invites customers of all ages. The spacious and bright front area, decorated with local artwork and lined with wood tables, is where folks dine on pub grub throughout the day. Toward the rear is a dimly lit, more crowded scene where locals and regulars chat with the bartender, watch the game, or toy with the juke box for their favorite song. The food menu features bar standards like hot wings and nachos, as well as more creative fare such as fried plantains and fish tacos, all of which pair perfectly with one of the 20 or so beers on tap.
