Our family love this place. It's your typical family owned taco stand, but it's not your typical taco. I don't know how they make it, but it's delicious along with their other menu items. My son is not big on tacos, so he orders their Crispy Dogs. They have great food for all and is definitley worth the price. Puffy Taco is one of my favorite places and I hope you will give them a try.

I have lived in Whittier ALL my life and always noticed how packed this restaurant gets so I finally decided to try it. WOW!!! The best authentic Mexican food I have EVER had, the tamale's are AWESOME and service was great!
Pros: Plate was overflowing with food!
Cons: Could use more parking

Okay, I've been to this place twice in the last month, and I absolutely love it. It is a tiny place, so I never noticed it until a friend suggested that we get some Mexican food one late night. Since then, it holds a special place in my heart. It's very small and has a pleasant feel to it. The food is really good too- and very affordable. Love it!

Great all around and varied menu......but the burgers are the best! They're big, sloppy, and with all the fixins. Portions on sides (i.e. fries, rings, zucchini, etc.) are huge. And......."Don't forget the Pastrami!!", which is great too. Go for the Pastrami Burger (see Texas Cheeeburger) and have the best of both worlds.

This is a great Chinese restaurant. It is pricey, but the exquisite food is worth every penny. The food is served as a group instead of individual plates. They have good soup, and all sorts of good chicken plates. The atmosphere is pretty laid back, and allows you to have a great time with family or friends.

The food is always good, very good prices, and a very laidback atmosphere. The service is great, very friendly, and personally I find it very refreshing that this is a Japanese restaurant that doesn't have its head up its @ss - they're not trying to be hip and trendy, and they're not making a fashion statement or trying to be chic with the decor or atmosphere. They make the best teriyaki and tempura, and thats all that matters here.
The complaint I always get whenever I bring friends is that there's no sushi - This is NOT A SUSHI BAR. I always get some sashimi (usually they bring out tuna and/or yellowtail) and its always fresh and tasty, though I admit its not as good as other places that actually specialize in raw fish.
But the point of going to Amachi is teriyaki and tempura. Their teriyaki sauce is just the way I like it - its not a thick syrupy consistency and its not too sweet, so it doesn't feel like you're eating pancakes and you actually get to taste your meat. I also recommend trying their shumai pork dumplings.
Pros: Delicious food with very good prices
Cons: Nothing! If you want sushi go somewhere else, if you want fancy go somewhere else.

Great little local place that is easy to miss, their sushi is fresh and delicious. The owner is so kind and is always helpful, should try to sit at sushi bar and with John as your sushi chef. There are always new waitresses that are college students and they are never organized. And the restaurant closes from 2:30-5 p.m. for lunch and they are closed every Monday, overall very much worth it.
You will not be disappointed.
Pros: Fresh sushi, great experience, sit at bar.
Cons: There are always new waitresses which are not organized
