This beer/wine bar offers a fair selection of beverages at a decent price. The atmosphere is a cross between sports bar and coffeeshop, with a faint strain of pub. The food is priced fairly and good, and the crowd is always lively and diverse. Ample parking on Greenleaf though you may make a couple of passes before finding a spot. Alternatively, a structure behind the bar offers more spaces.

Naturway is a great natural food and product store. I go into stores like this one and find myself staring at products for at least an hour...I am fascinated by all the different natural product companies who claim to cure everything. Do they actually work? I am a sucker and one by one, I think I will end up testing them all. Its fun for me. :) Look for natural bodycare products (shampoos, skincare, lotions, masks, etc), vitamins, foods, juices and more. Being healthy can be fun! Nice people working there, but not super helpful.

Acapulco has okay mexican food I know of other restaurants that have better mexican food than here. Acapulco has a pretty big bar and even a dance floor. They play mexican music here and you can even do party reservations which is great. The price for the food is not expensive.

The food is always good, very good prices, and a very laidback atmosphere. The service is great, very friendly, and personally I find it very refreshing that this is a Japanese restaurant that doesn't have its head up its @ss - they're not trying to be hip and trendy, and they're not making a fashion statement or trying to be chic with the decor or atmosphere. They make the best teriyaki and tempura, and thats all that matters here.
The complaint I always get whenever I bring friends is that there's no sushi - This is NOT A SUSHI BAR. I always get some sashimi (usually they bring out tuna and/or yellowtail) and its always fresh and tasty, though I admit its not as good as other places that actually specialize in raw fish.
But the point of going to Amachi is teriyaki and tempura. Their teriyaki sauce is just the way I like it - its not a thick syrupy consistency and its not too sweet, so it doesn't feel like you're eating pancakes and you actually get to taste your meat. I also recommend trying their shumai pork dumplings.
Pros: Delicious food with very good prices
Cons: Nothing! If you want sushi go somewhere else, if you want fancy go somewhere else.

A true gem in the heart of uptown Whittier.
Great place for fellow Whittier College students.
It is a nice place that has built an outdoor setting inside the restaurant. The pizza here is a fantastic and inexpensive. This was a great place to eat as a Whittier College student.
The staff is great!

In over thirteen years I've watched this establishment go from small hole-in-the-wall to fully fledged bar and pizzeria. These days they serve beer, have shows with great bands, and offer a wider variety on their menu. But through it all the quality of their pizza has remained impeccable...and prices low.
