Grey Stone: A majestic course in a bit of a drive from the city of Baltimore. The greens are extremely fast and can be tricky to put. The conditions pristine and the course layout is both difficult and exciting at the same time. Prices are steep for a public course, but worth every penny

I have been using them for 10 years, even though the shop is 25 minutes from my house. I have not found a more honest or thorough shop. Steve, who runs the shop, will tell you what you need and, more importantly, what you don't need. They do not invent work to be done on the car. You may go in thinking you need a brake job, but he will tell, no, they should be good for another 20,00 miles. They will note problems that you may want to take care of in the future, warn you about anything urgent which needs repair right away. I once went in thinking I had a front-end problem. He rode with me in the car, looked it over, and told me that I just needed new tires, recommended several places which would take care of me, and charged me nothing! Their prices are fair and they are a pleasure to deal with.

More
Cindy and Bob Isennock run very nice auctions of nicer furniture and smalls, jewelry, and also lower end furniture and box lots outside (weather permitting). They have a great crew and they are the most honest and also the friendliest auctioneers around. Even at 10:30 pm at the end of a long sale they are still polite and cordial.
They also have specialty auctions now and then, like Fostoria glass, postcards, or Hummel figurines. Their website is excellent with lots of details and photos for each sale. They have email and regular mail lists.
You do have to pay attention to how they pull things off tables to sell. It does not seem to follow a pattern from sale to sale and if you're not right there watching, you could miss something.
Food is prepared and served by the fire department and it's much better than most auction house fare. Cheap, too!
