I was very impressed with Domo 77 as well. It is a fun atmosphere, something different for those of us who eat out far too often. The service is good as well as entertaining, and the food was excellent. I was very impressed by the filet.
I didn't really like dining with strangers, but that is mainly because we had the misfortune of sitting with a very rude man who was not only ordering around the cook and the server, but his own wife. Certainly not Domo's fault though!
We also tried our first sake-bombs in the bar after dinner- a highlight of my night!

I had the good fortune of going to Domo 77 for my first visit to a Japanese Steakhouse. Since then, I have tried both Benihana and Ron of Japan and they cannot compete with Domo 77. First off, it is an entertaining dining experience where the chef cooks all the food right in front of you, performing various culinary tricks all the while. Unless you have eight people, you will likely be sharing a table with strangers which always makes the meal more interesting. Kids are especially appreciative of the chef's tricks, so it is a great place to take your family.
Their selections include teriyaki chicken, filet mignon, and lobster among other items such as seafood and salads. My personal favorite is the filet mignon and lobster combo (If you get this, go with the french garlic option for the lobster - it is fantastic). Soup, fried rice and a vegetable side is typically included with each meal. They also have a sushi bar which is quite good.
The only issue I have would be that perhaps the portions are a bit small for the prices charged. Other than that, it has a great atmosphere, great service, and, most importantly, delicious food.
