You can find a wide selection of lights of all kinds at Klaffs. Lots of floor, table and ceiling lights. The prices are OK - you can probably do better elsewhere but there are not many other choices around here. Service wasn't anything special - I didn't feel they went out of their way to be helpful. Give it a try and see for yourself.

This local carpet installer in Westport did a great job for us. They have a good selection - their prices are reasonable because they have remnants and don't custom order everything. Since they don't have to custom order everything they can install the carpet quickly - we only waited a few days. Installation was great and we'd definitely use this company again.

Pompanoosuc Mills is small New England furniture company with about a dozen showrooms. The Westport showroom is one of the newest and the only one in Fairfield county. PM makes and sells beautiful, clean-lined wood furniture with a shaker/Swedish sensibility. Each piece is offered in a number of woods (solid hardwoods, not veneers) and stains. And the mill is very willing to produce a semi-custom piece if you need say a 23" wide bookcase instead of 24". Though the selection is not as varied as some other furniture stores, PM's high-quality furniture at very reasonable prices would be lovely in almost any style home or apartment.
