The good news about this place is you're always the one who's in the best shape. Attracts a middle aged crowd that tends to be overweight and outta shape. Can be busy right after the new year but otherwise not bad. I usually work out after dinner and I never have to wait for a machine. The machines are a bit outdated and the treadmills are plain terrible. For all the members they have you think they could afford new equipment after all these years. But it's a nice place.

This place is a West Hartford staple. They have everything the big chain stores have and usually for around the same price. Their staff is tops and they will help you with anything you need to fix up your home. They have tools, gifts, stuff for your lawn, paint, and supplies. THey also have a nice home section with pots and pans and dishes and fun mugs. They are better than the large chains because they know what they are talking about. Go support them they need it and deserve it.

Jerry's is awesome! I went to Hartford Art School and I was one of the many unlucky freshman who didn't have my car because of the outrageous prices the school charged for a parking permit. On the first day of school I realized I didn't have any of the supplies I needed on the lists the professors handed out. Jerry's actually rented a limo that took the students back and forth from the art school to the store for about a week. They do it every year and it was one of the highlights of my freshman year. They are reasonably priced and always have great sales.

Barb's is famous for their specialty pizzas and also pizzas by the slice.
Many times, we would not even be able to find a parking spot, because that many people were always in & out enjoying the pizza!
The slices are big - and the prices are good.
The specialty pizzas are a little pricey, but worth it! They have so many varieties of pizzas - some that you might have heard of....and some that you might not have!
The onion one is fantastic - and the BBQ is wonderful too.
A great place for something a little different!

the food was great, the atmosphere is much more romantic than you would expect. this is a hidden gem in west hartford. if your looking to have a nice night out in west hartford center, this should definitely be on your list of places to eat!
Pros: romantic atmosphere, location, great food
Cons: a little heavy on the bank, but what can you do.
