Easily the best sushi in the Hartford area and I have tried it all. I am a native New Yorker living in this area for several years and so my opinion of sushi is ranked up against the best of the best. The sushi is always fresh and melt-in-your mouth good. I am so spoiled on it that anywhere else in this area pales by comparison. The only cons are that the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. The place is small and cramped. But once you bite into the sushi you will forget all about that.
Pros: Excellent sushi.
Cons: Small, cramped restaurant.

I recently went here with a friend and I really enjoyed it! While my philadelphia roll was good, it wasn't the best I've had. (I would recommend Ginza in Bloomfield or Fuji in Rocky, Hill). But the appetizer plates that we got were very good. I would get the vegetable tempura again, as well as the Gyoza...those were some of the best dumplings I've ever had. I've heard it can get pretty packed on any given night, so I would call or make reservations, as it is a very small place.
Pros: Good Apps. Good Prices.
Cons: Very Small place.

This tiny place is NOTHING like it's Simsbury namesake. The fish was merely okay; nothing to write home about. The servers need to be told to smile; so should the surly woman who appears to be manager. It's beautiful; but one doesn't eat ambience. The most peculiar thing about this place is that right around the corner is a great Japanese restaurant serving better fish AT HALF THE PRICE. How long can this continue?
Pros: Ambience, Outdoor Dining
Cons: Parking, Fish, Price

Ambience and decor was fine, and located in a great little corner of town. But the food and service could use some work - sushi was limp and on the small side, and not very fresh tasting. Our waitress huffed and puffed back and forth from the table all night. Value for your meal will be OK.
Pros: Locale, Decor
Cons: Sushi
