Very poor service. The waiter brought me the wrong order. I told him that was not my order. He became upset. I therefore cancelled the order because I did not know where his anger will lead. I was called names. He followed me into the parking lot and assaulted me.

The menu is expansive. All the normal diner food, plus Greek specialties, seafood (I wouldn't get it though), and a full bar. The food is not spectacular, but the portions are good and the prices are reasonable.
The key is it's open 24-hours a day and is an awesome place to go for a late-night meal with friends. Goldroc is usually packed from midnight to 4am, though there is usually no wait unless you get there right after 2am when the bars in Hartford close.

The Southington diner is a spin off of the West Hartford diner. I have never eaten in the W.Hartford location but I have eaten in the new location. It was terrible. The food was definately old & not at all hot. The portions were medium considering the price of the food but frankly even if they reduced the price of the meals it would still not interest me at all. This was very disappointing!!! Since Bickford's left the area this could have been a gold mine for a diner but not this one!!!!!

It's extremely crowded on the weekends because it's a local hangout spot but don't be fooled - the prices are ok but the food is awful! I once ordered a California Salad and the fruit was rotten! They do have pretty good pancakes if you don't mind eating off dirty plates and silverware. I would keep away from this place at all costs!
