this is the second appliance i have purchased from SK lavery...i purchased a stove last year...which, by the way, is still running...and several weeks ago, a dryer....the only glitch i encountered was the dryer i purchased was too wide for my basement! i called, the sales person suggested another dryer that would fit and 3 days later i was drying clothes!
i think they're great...they are in town, local and small and their prices are on par to anything you would find in a mall or larger store...
shop local...it makes sense!
Pros: free delivery and modest charge for pick up

Toy Chest is a little toy store in wrest hartford center. They have all sorts of toys. It is nicer than a toys r us and they have specialty toys for smart kids. They have lots of puzzles and things like that. Kids love the place. They also have a whole section for baby items like cribs and strollers. A little pricey but a nice store

This place is a West Hartford staple. They have everything the big chain stores have and usually for around the same price. Their staff is tops and they will help you with anything you need to fix up your home. They have tools, gifts, stuff for your lawn, paint, and supplies. THey also have a nice home section with pots and pans and dishes and fun mugs. They are better than the large chains because they know what they are talking about. Go support them they need it and deserve it.

I've been taking my car(s) to Jack Lyons' Gulf station for years. He has kept all of our cars in great shape. Jack is honest and reasonable. He goes out of his way to keep his customers happy. If we drop off a car the night before for an oil change, he will have his crew start on it first thing the next morning. Often the car is ready before it's time for us to leave for work. He can do service work on many different types of vehicles, US and foreign makes. He has even put us in touch with other customers who want to buy or sell used cars!

I shopped at Puritan Furniture this evening for a new living room set and early today I had purchased a bedroom set from Puritan Juvenile in Rocky Hill. I was very pleased with the wide selection that each store had to offer. In addition to the selection the prices were extremely competitive with neighboring stores. I am very pleased with the service, selection and prices and now i understand why. Each store is family owned for over 70 years and pride themselves on keeping their customers happy.

Friendly staff with great options for framing. They'll frame anything you want at a reasonable price. Also have a large selection fo frames for small pictures and such. They usually are pretty quick about getting things done, they've been there for so long for a reason. They are worth the few extra dollars to get good quality. They give you unique options for frames which is rare, not just basica black or wood.
